This is my first time setting up an infrastructure, so I am learning by following along step by step. There are some difficult parts, but I can feel that you have prepared diligently. Thank you.

What you will gain after the course

  • Knowledge required to easily configure infrastructure

  • Knowledge of OS, Network, Tomcat, etc. required to operate the service

  • Knowledge required to test service performance

  • Knowledge of HTTP, Spring, MySQL, etc. needed to improve performance

Was the infrastructure vague?
Learn about infrastructure by building and breaking 🤖

📌 AWS fees may apply depending on your learning environment!
📌 Sample code is provided for JVM-based programming (Java, Kotlin) and Spring Boot. If you have your own project, you can also use it for practice.

⛳️ Course Objectives

  • Let's shake off the vague fears about infrastructure by directly configuring the environment in which the application will run.
  • We will experience how to view and approach the vague topic of performance in the future.

📚 Lecture Content

  1. We will consider the factors to consider when opening a service and learn the necessary knowledge (OS, Network, etc.).
  2. Learn the elements you need to check when operating infrastructure and test its performance.
  3. Learn about and improve the factors that affect the performance of each section of a web service.

💬 QnA

Q. Can non-majors also take the course?
A. This course is for non-majors. While this course alone won't provide a deep understanding of CS knowledge, I believe it will help build your learning stamina for future learning.

Q. How difficult are the missions and classes?
A. Some people with 4 to 10 years of experience had difficulty with this process due to limited infrastructure experience, while others with a strong interest in OS/Networking found it easy to complete the process while preparing for employment.

Q. Do I have to complete the mission?
A. There's a saying that seeing is believing, and that hands-on programming is better than watching a lecture a hundred times. The same goes for infrastructure. You learn more through the process of building, destroying, and yak-shaving yourself.
Additionally, I think reading example code will be helpful for learning. I think those just starting out with the JVM or Spring will gain valuable insights.

Q. Do I have to attend the lecture?
A. You can just complete the missions. If you carefully review the hints, you can easily complete them on your own. You can also take the course if you're curious about the mission-related knowledge.

Q. Is there anything I need to prepare before attending the lecture?
A. Since we'll be practicing using AWS, you'll need a separate personal account. Also, we won't be covering Linux commands, the OSI 7 Layer model, Git, and GitHub, so it's recommended that you familiarize yourself with them in advance.
