I'm leaving this after completing Parts 1 and 2. I'm a current N company client developer with over 10 years of experience, but I'm new to Unity. I'm preparing for Unity solo development, and thanks to this course, I completely got the hang of it in just one month. I highly recommend job seekers to learn the instructor's coding style. Additionally, I'd love to take server-side courses covering basic features like mail, ranking, and guilds, as well as server channel management, chat, matching, and dedicated server-based multiplayer. If you release these, I'll definitely enroll. (Montreal U company seems like my dream company. I'd also appreciate it if you could create a series on successful overseas job transition strategies :)

Most lectures tend to conclude after explaining the game's operational process, but Burning Carrot's lectures are a great help because they cover the entire process of releasing a mobile game. I'm curious if there are any plans for lectures covering the process of releasing PC (Steam) and console games in the future!

You cannot release a commercial-grade game with vibe coding alone.

The real architecture that ensures the stability of AI coding and enhances productivityis what you need to learn.

Rapidly complete and release your game on top of this template.

With the AI coding boom, many people are taking on the challenge of releasing games on their own or in teams with colleagues. But how many actually manage to complete and successfully release a commercial-quality game? Unless you are an established game developer or company with sufficient know-how, most individuals and teams end up disbanding midway or giving up on development due to a lack of experience and repeated trial and error. Therefore, if you want to release a game as a small team, you need to develop it based on a highly efficient system that minimizes trial and error.

This course is a game development template that maximizes development productivity, created through know-how gained from numerous Unity projects in the industry and experience developing a game solo from start to finish. If you implement your core gameplay through AI coding on top of the already completed, stable architecture and key systems, you can complete your game with speed and productivity built on a solid foundation of stability.

Use this course effectively to suit your situation. 👨‍💻

How to Use I. Start a Practical Project Based on the Key Systems Implemented in the Course

  • Take this course to learn the key systems provided in the lectures.

  • You may also download the integrated final materials and apply them to Unity without implementing each system yourself.

  • Even if you don’t follow along, make sure to understand the principles behind implementing the systems while taking the course.

  • You will begin your practical project based on the core systems that have already been implemented.

Usage II. Select and apply the systems needed for the practical project based on your judgment

  • Review the systems that need to be implemented in your project.

  • You will learn about the systems that need to be implemented and understand the principles behind their implementation.

  • Implement the system directly in your project.

  • You can download and import the necessary resources and source code instead of coding everything yourself from scratch.

  • Even if you use the course this way, we recommend taking the lectures up through Section 3 first.

💻 Practice Environment

  • Operating System and Version (OS)

    • Windows (Sections 1–10)

    • MacOS (Sections 11–12)

  • Programs Used

    • Unity 2022.3.17f1 or later (confirmed to work properly up to Unity 6000.3.2f1)

    • Visual Studio 2022

  • PC/MacBook Specifications: Recommended specifications capable of running the software used

📚 Learning Materials

  • Custom-made art resources

  • Custom-made prefabs

  • C# source code required to implement the game

  • Game data files

🚨 Notes

  • An understanding of object-oriented programming and basic proficiency in C# and the Unity engine are required.

  • It does not cover the implementation of gameplay for any specific genre. In other words, this course does not cover the implementation of a particular game itself, such as an RPG, platformer, or puzzle game.

  • Instead, when the course covers implementing in-game systems, it proceeds based on a simply made game(

Of course, the code for that game is not provided).

  • The process of creating each element of the UI prefab individually is not covered. Completed prefabs are provided.

  • There are developer account registration fees for releasing games on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

  • The Google Play Store requires a one-time fee of $25, while the Apple App Store costs 129,000 KRW annually.

  • Building and registering apps for the Apple App Store is done on macOS, so a Mac computer is required.

  • Those who have taken Pt.1 can start implementing Pt.2 right away with the integrated course materials from Pt.1 already installed.

Q. Wouldn't the course content be difficult for someone who is just starting out with Unity?

If you are just starting out with Unity, you may find the course content difficult. However, even if you do not understand everything 100% at first, you can learn a great deal by taking your time and studying the material repeatedly.

Q. Does the course cover online functionality and servers?

This course does not cover servers. Login authentication, user data storage in a database, and user play log functionality are implemented by integrating Firebase services without a separate server.

Q. Are the resources and source code used in the course provided?

We provide both art resources and source code. For each lecture, the resources and source code used in the lecture are provided as learning materials.

Q. Can the learning materials provided in the course be used for personal purposes?

Yes. All provided resources and source code may be freely used in personal projects.

Hello. I’m a student who recently released a casual rhythm RPG game on the Play Store. I started last July and spent a year developing it, although honestly, I was lazy or just goofing off for about 4–5 months of that timeㅠ I set up the server myself, and the lectures were a huge help with all the essential features aside from the game itself. I kept thinking I should write a review once I released the game, and I’m finally leaving one!. First of all, I took both Part 1 and Part 2. - Part 1 has good content, but I think it is somewhat expensive. - Part 2 was very helpful. You can ask an AI questions as you go, but when you’re developing for the first time, you don’t know which features are essential to implement. These lectures narrow down the scope and can save you a tremendous amount of time. [Information to Share Regarding the Lectures] 1. Preparation for in-app sales I used a combination of a non-resident office, a sole proprietorship, and a personal Google Play account. After registering in-app products, the Play Console checks the verification-related details quite strictly. 2. [13] User Login Authentication Pt.1 In this lecture, if you upload an app built with the google-signin-unity package to the console, you will receive a warning saying that the app may terminate abnormally on 16KB devices and that you need to make modifications. I resolved this issue by following PullRequest #205 after visiting the GitHub URL provided in the lecture. (Download the zip file and replace the files.) 3. [34] Installing the Unity In-App Purchasing SDK I’m a little cautious because I’m not completely sure about this, but after registering in-app products in the console, you only need to install In App Purchasing. I confirmed that the settings covered later in the lecture are not essential for adding payment functionality. [Things I Realized After Developing Alone] 1. Keep the development period as short as possible, and work outside while dressed properly. 2. Set things up so that you can check logs. - I recommend using Firebase Crashlytics or Analytics. - You need to be able to determine at least whether users simply downloaded the app but don’t use it because it doesn’t run, or whether they don’t use it because the game isn’t fun, so that you can take appropriate action. 3. If there is no income, solo development ultimately becomes an expensive hobby. These lectures helped me a lot. Best of luck to everyone taking on the challenge of solo development! Thank you for the lectures!

The content related to DB, BM, and CDN is well organized for practical use, so I am very satisfied. The content is so rich that the tuition fee is not at all a waste.

After taking parts 1 and 2, I learned that there is a lot of work to do even to release a simple game. I think it was a good decision to take this course. It will take some more time to complete my game, but I think I will be able to achieve my goal this year thanks to this course. Thank you for the great course.
