A. The hands-on exercises and automated trading integration logic in this course are designed based on the Korea Investment & Securities API. Therefore, a Korea Investment & Securities account is essential if you want to get the full benefit of the course and run the program yourself. Since it is difficult to complete the exercises with an account from another brokerage, we recommend opening one conveniently online (without visiting a branch) before participating.

Q. Do I have to code exclusively with Claude? I’d like to know whether I can use other AI tools and whether there are any additional costs.

A. You may use any AI tool you are familiar with, such as Cursor, Codex, or ChatGPT. Since the LLM itself does not account for a significant portion of the automated trading system’s architecture, you can choose whichever tool is most convenient for you.

However, the foundation of automated trading (strategy development, backtesting, and order execution logic) can be applied identically to all markets worldwide. You can expand it as much as you like by simply changing the data source in the pipeline, which is written based on the U.S. market, and modifying the conditions to accommodate rules specific to the Korean market (such as trading hours and upper/lower price limits) or cryptocurrency exchange APIs.
