Thank you for the great lecture!! How I used the lecture - I wrote my resume first, and while listening to the lecture, I improved the parts that could be improved. I did this because I was afraid that I would forget if I reviewed everything at once and improved it, and it was okay! What was good - The lecture was based on various cases, so I understood it well, and I was able to improve my resume by referring to it. It was good that the lecture was conducted by researching not only Worny's experience but also other people's experiences! Feedback - I was disappointed that there was no resume for cases where SI goes to service. ㅜ.ㅜ I think it can't be helped because Worny is not in this case, but I thought it would be good if there was a case like that since it's not easy to go from SI to service!! Thank you!!

Hello, Worni~ I really enjoyed the lecture. 1) I especially liked the part about the purpose of the resume at the beginning. I was really bad at writing resumes, so I looked at a lot of materials and asked a lot of acquaintances, seniors, etc., but I was so tired because there seemed to be no answers. I was not motivated, but the part about the purpose of the resume, "A device to discover my shortcomings and points of improvement" really resonated with me, so I will consider that part and prepare in the future. 2) Also, you gave examples of resumes of actual new developers and experienced developers, and pointed out the shortcomings and good points, which was also really good. 3) I really liked the part where you summarized the content at the end of the lecture~ You said that writing down the regrettable points and good points to improve makes the lecture more informative, so I will share a few parts that I wrote down. 1) In the actual resume feedback section, Worni mentioned in the middle, "When I was mentoring, I talked to Mr. ㅇㅇ in more detail and he said that there was a part ㅁㅁㅁ that was not included in the resume." I thought it would be really helpful to see how you can get feedback in the process of talking to someone. I heard that Worni is hosting a seminar on News, so if there are any good contents or videos during the seminar, it would be good to add them to the latter part of the lecture. ㅎㅎ 2) It would be helpful if there was another case in the section on improving your career resume. While listening to this lecture, I took notes on the parts that I thought were lacking, and thanks to that, I was able to really learn a lot. I will also participate in the seminar and learn more. Thank you for the great lecture!

What makes a well-written resume? 📄

A resume is the very first document you prepare when looking for a job or switching careers. However, when it actually comes time to write one, don't you feel at a loss? Especially since there aren't many opportunities to see other people's resumes, it's difficult to even get a sense of what a "good resume" looks like.

During my last career move, I submitted my resume to 8 companies and passed at 7.5 of them. Despite having seen countless resumes from others, writing my own was not easy, so I read every article I could find and organized a method for resume writing. I shared those organized tips on my blog, and that post recorded approximately 170,000 views and ranked #1 for the keyword 'developer resume' on Google.

Since then, I have received numerous lecture proposals, requests for detailed explanations on how to write resumes, and feedback requests. I had been turning them down, thinking that my blog posts would be enough. However, through a few mentoring sessions and lectures I happened to conduct, I witnessed students achieving even better results in their job searches and career transitions. This inspired me to prepare this course, hoping it could help even more people. (I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to those who achieved great results and shared the news with me! 🙇‍♀️)

I prepared this course with the hope that those who take it will be able to effectively capture their wonderful experiences and unique strengths in their resumes, so that they at least never fail to get a job or change careers because of their resume. 🙏

Unique features of this course ✨

  • By looking at various actual resumes, you can develop a sense of what makes a successful resume.
  • We help you learn specific methods for writing a resume.
  • Just like 1:1 mentoring, we vividly show you the actual improvement process for entry-level and experienced resumes.
  • It is packed with useful tips for changing jobs and even answers to questions received during lectures and mentoring sessions.

* The reviews below are from external lectures or mentoring sessions conducted by the instructor.

“Based on the great feedback Wony gave me, I got a job in February and am currently working hard!

“It was an opportunity to re-examine my resume, which I had written under the delusion that others would naturally think the same way just because I had put so much thought and effort into it myself! It was an extremely valuable time where I could learn what to prepare for in the future and what strategies to move forward with.”

“It was great because you pinpointed the truly necessary parts so well. I could see why you write resumes so well, and it was wonderful because you shared so many great insights not just about resumes but also about interviews. I will get back to you again with good news. Thank you!”

“After Wony's special lecture, I was able to set a clear direction for my resume. Thanks to that, I think I'll be able to apply to and get accepted by the company I want!”

Expected Questions Q&A 💬

Q. If I take this course, will I be guaranteed to pass the resume screening?

🙅‍♀️ To be honest, that's not the case! For a resume to be successful, the structure and format must be good, but ultimately the most important thing is the content contained within the resume. Therefore, without good content to include, it is difficult to write a winning resume no matter how well you master the writing techniques.

So! I will talk about what more you need to do while taking the course. Since I mention the areas where you might be lacking and points for improvement that can be discovered when writing a resume is difficult, you will be able to know what more needs to be done to create a passing resume. (In particular, I tried hard to explain the parts that non-major newcomers, who often have the most concerns, should pay more attention to.)

Q. What questions are discussed in <Part 5-1. Frequently Asked Questions by New Developers>?

💁‍♀️ We will answer the following questions. Questions frequently received after the course opens will be updated in the course materials.

  • Q. What is the level of proficiency required for a new hire?
  • Q. How many projects should I do?
  • Q. What kind of projects would be good to do?
  • Q. What should I focus on when managing my blog and GitHub?
  • Q. I'm a non-major; how much CS study should I do?
  • Q. Is a portfolio absolutely necessary?
  • Q. It's not a real service, so I can't express the results in numbers. What should I do?
  • Q. Should I keep studying until I get accepted into Na-Ka-Ra-Ku-Bae (Naver, Kakao, Line, Coupang, Baemin)?
  • Q. I have nothing to write about.
  • Q. It feels like non-majors will inevitably fall behind when competing with CS majors... How can a non-major become competitive?

Q. Can non-developers also take this course?

🙆‍♀️ Yes! You can take it. Although the explanations are focused on developers, most of the content is structured so that anyone writing a resume can apply it, regardless of their job role.

I watched it at 1.25x speed. It was helpful to be able to look at a few resumes. The lecture content is good, but I wish there were more examples of resumes for career positions that I could refer to, either as PDFs or links. Even for career positions, accumulated experience is different, and not everyone can have ideal experiences at an ideal company like Nekarakube, so it would be nice to be able to see how those experiences are described on the resume.

I haven't taken many lectures on writing resumes, but this was definitely the best lecture. It was easier to understand at once because it had key keywords and examples of comparison before and after, rather than long explanations. And it was finished with a neat summary! It was like a great resume lecture. ㅎㅎ Thanks to Worni's article, I want to get a review of my resume that I'm writing well(?) soon-!!

Hello bluesky! I am touched by such a sincere course review 😭 I had never thought of it, but like you said, it would be good to add the good parts of the seminar to the lecture as a clip! I will think about this!! It is always difficult to find a resume to talk about while watching the part about improving your career resume, so I am always worried. I will definitely consider it the next time I update the lecture! This course review was very helpful to me because it told me in detail which parts you liked and where to improve ㅠㅠ I sincerely thank you for leaving such a sincere course review! Let's meet at the seminar and talk more~!
