I worked at a company called Algolia in France from 2019 to 2022. I would like to share the reason why I applied to this company, the process of moving, and what I learned and my thoughts. This is not a video like "Secrets to Successful Overseas Employment" that can be applied to everyone. However, I hope that this video, which details my personal experience, will be a good hint to many people.

The process of moving to France
Things I felt while working in France
Things I felt while living in France
This isn't really a lecture, but rather a monologue-style video about what I felt about three years ago, after arriving in France. In 2021, when everything was still new and fresh, I wanted to record those early thoughts and feelings before they became dull.
My thoughts may have changed somewhat since then, but I recommend this to anyone who is curious about what I felt when I first arrived in France.
I've worked primarily in front-end development at companies like Daum, Kakao, and Algolia. I currently work as a full-stack developer at Storyblok.
After working at Daum, Kakao, and a startup in Korea, I was transferred to the Singapore branch and lived there for about two years starting in 2017. Then, I joined a company called Algolia and moved to France in February 2019.

Hello. I'm Eunjae Lee. I live in France. I love zoning out at home while watching my cats, and I enjoy taking about an hour-long walk after dinner. I live in a small town near Paris because I find loud and crowded city centers overwhelming. I like birdwatching, and I have a hobby of growing vegetables.
To talk more about my development work, since November 2022, I have been building an extension platform for developer users at Storyblok, a company that creates a Headless CMS service.
In 2019, I moved to France to join Algolia, a cloud-based search solution company. There, I worked on an open-source UI library called InstantSearch. I spent most of my time managing common logic separately and ensuring each flavor acted as a minimal wrapper in order to provide the library in four different versions: Vanilla JavaScript, React, Vue.js, and Angular. Besides that, I participated in several other open-source projects as part of my work.
Before that, I worked as a full-stack developer at a startup in Korea and Singapore for about three years, and prior to that, I spent four to five years primarily focused on frontend development at Kakao and Daum Communications.
