What's New About New Courses and Mentoring

Hello, this is Rookiss.

1. [Regarding the new curriculum]

[UE5 for Beginners] Part 2. An introductory course on Unreal Engine 2D game development is now open and we are sharing it with you.

This lecture is the second in the UE5 series.
Minimize use of complex Unreal Engine features;
It focuses solely on creating game content using Blueprints.


I tried to include many tips that helped me a lot when I first started studying games.
It is structured so that you can naturally become familiar with the basics of using blueprints and the engine.

2. [Regarding mentoring]

The second news is about mentoring. As I shared before, in addition to the UE5 series,
- Introduction to Unity Indie Games (So that 'real' beginners can develop Unity 2D indie games)
- The basics of getting a job as a game programmer (1 year course at a regular offline academy)

The above contents will be published as an offline book in the future.
We are paying special attention to creating the curriculum.
Actually, the most difficult part of creating a lecture is,
These are things that are already so obvious to me.
It's a case of forgetting that this can be difficult when you first learn it.
I'm going to do a difficulty test to see which parts beginners find difficult.
We are looking to recruit for our online bootcamps on a regular basis.

Schedule: Every Saturday in October (1/8/15/22/29) (2pm to 4pm +@, total 20-30 hours) << Depending on the students' adaptation speed

Participation fee: 400,000 won

1) If confirmed as [Indie Game Development]: Starting with learning basic C# grammar, cultivate the ability to create 2D indie games.
-- Discussion on the game you want to make on the first day -> Learning C# Unity -> Aiming for final production
-- If it is a reasonable plan, consider practicing actual release through the production of 2D art resources.
2) If confirmed as [the standard for employment]: Various advice for employment as a game programmer.
-- C++ basics, future learning routines, time allocation, etc.

The purpose of the boot camp is two-way communication, so please ask lots of questions.
You can just tell me about the difficult parts.
Mentoring recruitment is done by looking at our team's progress schedule.
We plan to begin recruiting once the course is confirmed in mid-September.
