Romance of the Three Kingdoms Complete Summary Binge-watch Part 1 (Episodes 1-9), (Episodes 10-18), (Episode 19-Final Episode) + Side Story (Goguryeo vs. Wei): If you want to thoroughly understand the entire story of the Three Kingdoms without reading the books, I recommend these videos. No matter how well I create story lectures, they cannot compare to the level of these talented creators. The best thing about these videos is that the explanation takes place on a map from beginning to end. Contexts that are difficult to fully grasp when reading the books are significantly supplemented by visual explanations. Highly recommended.
Red Cliff (Movie): This is a two-part blockbuster film released in 2008/2009, directed by John Woo. If you want to learn about the Battle of Red Cliff from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms in detail, you should watch this movie.

Eiji Yoshikawa's Romance of the Three Kingdoms: This is the primary text I referred to for my lecture videos, Three Kingdoms story materials, and the "Rule of Three" textbooks. While it has the drawbacks of starting with a fictionalized story of Liu Bei rather than the Yellow Turban Rebellion and ending abruptly after Zhuge Liang's death, I believe it is far superior in terms of immersion compared to the well-known versions by Hwang Sok-yong or Yi Mun-yol.
Hwang Sok-yong's Romance of the Three Kingdoms: This is the edition I mainly used when I wanted to refer to a translation faithful to Luo Guanzhong's original Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I appreciate Writer Hwang Sok-yong's concise translation, and I also like that it is not a "retelling" heavily infused with the translator's personal opinions. However, depending on your taste, a potential downside is that the writing style may feel a bit dry and rigid.
The Pyramid Principle by Barbara Minto: My lecture unfolds the 'Rule of Three' framework based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I included this book to explain that the Rule of Three isn't something I created out of thin air, but a framework that many people have used for a very long time. You can think of it as the ancestor of various frameworks presented by consulting firms like McKinsey. As you will see when you read it, it demonstrates excellent 'thought organization techniques' that don't feel outdated at all even today.
