Please read before asking questions!

Hello, I am Bom, the SQL lecture planner of the Datalian team. It seems like it hasn't been that long since we first launched the SQL lecture, but there are already only 3 months left in 2020 🙂

I have studied SQL with many people so far. Before I knew it, the number of questions in the [A Hundred Questions is Better Than One Thing] SQL Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced lectures for Data Analysis exceeded 100 👏

To celebrate the 100 questions we've received, today I'd like to share with you some information that you should check before leaving questions for the lecture.

1️⃣ First, it is essential to check and search error messages before asking questions !
SQL lecture questions seem to be largely divided into two categories. When you encounter an error while solving a problem, 95% of the time, you can find the answer by reading the error message carefully and searching on Google. Checking and searching error messages is a process that you absolutely must become familiar with if you continue to study data analysis in the future, so I hope you check it before asking a question.
I can't seem to find an answer even after searching... If you're having trouble, please refer to the information search tips for developers and search again.

2️⃣ Second, if there is a part of the lecture explanation that you do not understand , please be sure to specify which section of the lecture you are asking about .
Since the planners do not have all the lecture content and order memorized, if they do not know which section the question is about, it may take time to understand the content, which may delay the answer.
EX) I would like to ask a question about the explanation at 5 minutes and 22 seconds of the 'LEFT JOIN Leetcode Problem Solving' in the lecture '[A Hundred Questions Are Not as Good as One Hit] Intermediate SQL for Data Analysis'.

3️⃣ Third, if you still have questions after reading the error message carefully and searching, please attach the query and error message you wrote when you ask your question. If you also write down the intention behind your query, what you expected as a result, and how you searched, we can provide a faster and more accurate answer.

4️⃣ Lastly, Team Datarian is a community of current data analysts who are working hard in their respective fields. Since they are not full-time instructors , it may take some time for them to check your questions and respond. The planners are trying their best to check your questions and respond within a week, but please understand that it may be a little late. (If you do not receive a response within a week, please contact datarian2020@gmail.com and we will check and respond.)
Also, for the same reason , I ask for your understanding that it may be difficult to answer questions outside of the content covered in the lecture (questions about interpreters other than MySQL, questions about content not covered in the lecture, etc.).

Thank you to all the students who took Datalian's SQL class and left thoughtful reviews and questions.

We will continue to work hard to plan better lectures in the future. Thank you 🙂
