Thanks to Mikook, I had the opportunity to re-engage with Claude and Claude Code and experience their various features firsthand. I tend to prefer looking at the essential parts first and learning the rest through hands-on experience rather than listening to an entire lecture from start to finish. I approached this course in that manner and spent about two months testing Claude and Claude Code in various ways. In conclusion, the lecture itself served as a great catalyst for me to re-evaluate Claude. In particular, Claude Code and the recently released design-related features were impressive compared to my initial tests. However, after actual use, I felt that rather than relying on these tools entirely, they are more suitable as supplementary tools for someone who already has a certain level of experience and judgment. I also encountered some of the same points that led me to stop using Claude in the past. Consequently, I have concluded that services like ChatGPT, which excel at maintaining conversational flow and memory, or services like Gemini, which are integrated with the Google ecosystem, are a better fit for my current workflow. Nevertheless, without this lecture, I don't think I would have had the chance to seriously test Claude and Claude Code again. This course was a meaningful experience in that it allowed me to distinguish between tools that suit me and those that don't based on actual usage experience rather than vague impressions.
Hello aa a, thank you for the great review ๐ I believe the compatibility between tools and workflows varies greatly from person to person. As you mentioned, the process of using a tool for several months to personally experience "in which situations it works well and where its limitations lie" is incredibly important. In particular, I agree with your opinion that Claude Code is a tool whose strengths shine more when used like an assistant engineer by someone with a certain level of development experience or judgment, rather than just clicking a few buttons to get a result. Conversely, there are certainly aspects that blend more naturally into actual work styles, such as ChatGPT's ability to maintain conversational flow or Gemini's integration with the Google ecosystem. The fact that you utilized the lecture focusing on the parts you needed, rather than following it "strictly in order from start to finish," felt more like a practical, hands-on learning approach. Ultimately, I believe the important thing is not blindly following a specific tool, but creating a workflow that suits you through direct experience. And as you said, the most meaningful part seems to be that you have developed a standard for judgment based on actual testing experience rather than "vague impressions." Thank you for leaving such a detailed review ๐
