I was half-skeptical about whether an online lecture could genuinely help with job preparation when I applied, but after listening, I definitely felt my perspective change from before. I realized that even when encountering the same job postings or interview questions, the content and quality of the answers vary greatly depending on how one approaches them. What was good was that instead of abstract explanations, there were many practical tips that could be immediately applied, explained with concrete real-life examples. In particular, I was so rushed by the thought of needing to get a job immediately that I focused on how to tailor myself to the job posting's preferences, which ironically made it harder to find ways to effectively showcase my strengths in my self-introduction letter or interview answers. But after taking the lecture, I learned how to refocus on 'myself' and effectively appeal my strengths, and I was able to re-establish direction when writing my self-introduction letter and interview answers. Thank you for the great lecture, and I recommend it to others!
