Average rating 5.0

Completed 80% of course

I took the course because I had a vague fear of financial data and time series data. The instructor did not take it too seriously, but only covered the essence of how to handle time series data, and concisely showed how to apply data to confirm a portfolio, so my vague fear of financial data, which was the goal of taking the course, was definitely resolved. The part where you included an introduction to Azure and OOP in the curriculum was very helpful for me as a person considering employment at a related company. In fact, I know that many companies check applicants' experience using the cloud or coding habits during the hiring process. The content is not very easy, so I plan to review it by watching it again. I think it is a great course worth reviewing. I plan to take Part 2 as well, and I am looking forward to Part 3. Thank you for the great course.

Miles! Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed course review. Since you said it is worth reviewing, I think I should work harder to make a good course. Although my quant course is a course that pursues practical applications, if I were to seriously engage in practical investment, the code and logic would become more complex and sophisticated. However, this would make the students feel that the code is more difficult, so although it is intended for practical use, the code has been simplified a bit while considering the difficulty. So, what I recommend is that you implement Miles' own algorithm when reviewing. And I think that implementing your own algorithm like this will be a good portfolio when preparing for employment. Also, since the Interactive Brokers API, which will be covered in the second and third lectures, will use a virtual Paper Account, even if Miles' own algorithm incurs a loss, you can immediately readjust the virtual account amount of the Paper Account, so you can practice various algorithms. Thank you again for your review, and please let me know if there is anything else I can help with (e.g. reviewing your own algorithm portfolio, but there may be a fee for the algorithm review) and I will do my best to help. Thank you, Daniel Dream
