It is difficult to practice because it is old material. There are many questions related to the setup of the practice environment in Q&A, and they are not being answered properly.

Hi Jake:) This is Groschool. We built a new environment 4 months ago and have been posting it in the news and continuously posting Q&A, but it seems to be a bit hard to find. After hearing Jake's advice, we'll improve it so that it's easier to find. :) There's no problem with the environment setup, but we made it hard to find! We'll change it so that it's more noticeable! Thank you for letting us know. :) I'll talk about the environment setup here again just in case. -----------------------------Environment Setup Notice----------------------------- News Link: https://www.inflearn.com/news/674204 Hello:) We've been getting questions about virtual servers, During the holiday period of October 3rd and 10th, Instructor Kang Min-gu came up with a solution and set up the environment. Just follow the instructions below. :) It may seem complicated, but even I, a liberal arts student, did it. (I did 8-1 in the middle) 0. Download the compressed file 1. Install VirtualBOX 6.1.32. 2. Run VirtualBOX and select the File - Import Virtual System menu. 3. Leave the original as the local file system and click the folder picture on the right end of the file below. 4. Go to the folder where you downloaded and unzipped it, click the cent1.ova or cent1 file to select it, and click the Open button. 5. Click the Next button at the bottom right. 6. Click the Import button at the bottom right without changing anything. 7. Import cent2 and cent3 in the same way. 8. Start the cent1, 2, 3 virtual machines. 8-1. If a network error occurs, go to Control Panel - Network and Internet - Network Connections, right-click on the Ethernet with the name VirtualBox Host-Olny Ethernet Adapter, select Disable to stop using it, right-click again and select Use, and then start each server again. 9. The virtual machine created this way cannot use vagrant, so you can practice in the window that opens when you start the virtual machine. 10. The login ID/PW is vagrant / vagrant. 11. After logging in, use sudo su - to practice as the root user. I hope that those who were upset because it didn't work out will be able to do it now, and I'll organize and share the method. Thank you!

Even though I set it up the way you commented, it didn't work well.. Of course, I may have done some additional troubleshooting wrong, but there was an issue that didn't work properly even after doing it the way you told me above. First, I had to get cent1 and change the network settings additionally. When I just ran the virtual machine, the network settings weren't set up properly, so I couldn't even get to the login command, and it didn't work even with the way you told me in 8-1. So I separately manipulated the network settings and ran cent 1, 2, and 3. However, after that, there was an issue with the connection not being made again when accessing the webpage, so I gave up on the practice and just watched the video. I don't know how many people are following the class properly with the newly built environment, but if I were you, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. It would be good if the practice environment construction method provided in the lecture was guaranteed to work well on various OSs.

Jake, thanks for sharing your issue. Can we ask for some help? If you could share the following information about your local environment, I can probably find a way around it. - OS name and version - VirtualBOX version - How you changed your network settings If you have time, I would really appreciate it if you could share it with me!
