Solo iOS Developer Challenge: Complete App Store Launch in One Go

This is an intensive program where a solo developer, who is currently operating over 20 apps, guides you from planning to launch in just 3 hours based on real-world experience. Rather than focusing on writing code, you will learn core decision-making frameworks and maximize your launch success rate through actual App Store rejection cases and their resolution processes. Designed as a single 3-hour session, you will complete the course without getting lost and will definitely submit your app.

Hello, I'm Leeio, a developer fishing for code in Pohang.

Detailed Introduction

Just one 3-hour session, we go all the way to launch - My Idea App Store Launch Challenge

Does this sound like you?

  • It's been over 6 months since you wrote down your app idea in your notes.

  • I've completed several courses, but the number of apps I've uploaded to the App Store is zero.

  • You've tried making something with ChatGPT or Claude, but at some point, the code became intimidating, so you closed it.

  • You've been only searching for months caught between "I heard AI does everything these days" and "But shouldn't I still learn the basics?"

The problem is not your willpower, your talent, or your time.

It is because no one has defined "when, what, and how much" you need to do.

So, we will decide everything for you.

This challenge is not a lecture that teaches coding. It is a 3-hour structure that gets you through to launch.

In just one single 3-hour session, your app will enter the Apple review queue.

  • After the 3-hour session, you will have tangible results in your hands one by one: the first screen on the simulator, an app that saves data, an app running on your own iPhone, and finally, every participant will press the submit for review button at the same time.

  • There is no homework outside of the sessions. Knowing that what ruins completion is not the difficulty but the wandering between sessions, we have designed the curriculum so that everything is finished within 3 hours.

  • AI writes the code. You make the decisions. You will train in the real skills that will remain for developers over the next 10 years: what to build, what to cut, and where to stop.

Why '3 hours', and why 'unconditionally'?

Why 3 hours. While mentoring hundreds of learners through various platforms like Inflearn and Fast Campus, I confirmed one fact. People don't give up because they lack time. They give up because they wander around wondering, "What should I do next?" That's why every session in this challenge is designed as a single decision unit that finishes within 3 hours. The moment you sit down, your task is set, and the moment you stand up, a result remains.

The reason it's unconditional. "I'll release it when it's perfect" is the most common lie that prevents a launch. The final task of this challenge is to press the submit button, and you will press it even if features are lacking. The metric we measure is not the completion rate, but the launch rate. The courage to release something while it's still imperfect — this is the muscle you will use the most in every future launch.

What you will gain from this challenge

1. One app under your own name listed on the App Store. It’s not just a line in your portfolio, but a tangible product you can send a link to. You’ll be able to say, "I am someone who has launched a product," in job interviews, side project introductions, and to yourself.

2. A 'Launch Protocol' that you can repeat on your own starting from your next app. The worksheets, instructions, and checklists you use for 3 hours will be organized into your very own manual. The ultimate goal is to enable you to go through the process on your own, without this challenge, starting from your second app.

3. How to work with AI. If you say, "Just make it well on your own," you'll be buried under unreadable code three weeks later. In this challenge, you will train on how to write instructions that set boundaries for AI, how to recognize and reject over-engineering, and how to maintain control over your project by saying, "Don't touch anything else."

4. Experience completing the 'Launch Administration' that no one teaches you. Developer accounts, certificates, screenshot specifications, privacy policies, review submissions, and handling rejections—90% of people give up in the final 1km of an app's journey. We will pass through this section together using actual rejection cases and templates.

This is the instructor.

  • Solo iOS Developer. I have over 20 apps in the App Store that I built, launched, and operated all by myself.

  • A mentor at Inflearn. I have observed firsthand where hundreds of learners get stuck and where they give up, and that data forms the backbone of this curriculum.

  • A living witness of rejections. I will reveal the actual App Store rejection emails I've received over the years and the resolution processes exactly as they were. This is material that you can't find by searching—it can only be provided by someone who has experienced it firsthand.

  • I have met numerous students while running iOS courses on Inflearn and Fast Campus. That's how I know—simply taking one more course won't lead to a launch. This challenge started from that conclusion.

3-hour curriculum summary

Stage 1 - Trim the ideas and launch the first screen. The first screen of my app is displayed on the simulator.

Stage 2 - Data is saved even after restarting the app. This is the moment a toy becomes a real app.

Stage 3 - Runs on my iPhone. My app runs on the iPhone in my pocket.

Stage 4 - Your app now has a name and an icon you can show off, and you can hand your phone to a friend to show it to them.

Stage 5 - Ready for review submission. From screenshots, descriptions, to privacy policies, everything is ready except for the submit button.

Stage 6 - Press the submit button. All participants will submit to the App Store for review at the same time.

Check the curriculum guide for a detailed step-by-step breakdown.

We recommend this to the following people

  • Office workers and college students who have an idea but haven't been able to start for months - the 3-hour rhythm will set the start for you.

  • Tutorial hell students who have completed 5 courses but have 0 launches - You have enough input. You just need a structure that forces output.

  • Vibe coders who have built a prototype with AI but are stuck on the next step - We bridge the gap between prototyping and launching.

  • Non-majors, planners, and designers who want to release at least one project with their own hands - The barrier to entry is low because it focuses on AI directing and judgment rather than memorizing syntax.

This is not suitable for the following people

  • Experienced developers who have already launched multiple apps (this challenge may not have much to offer you)

  • Those who want to learn deeply starting from theory step-by-step (This challenge is optimized for speed and completion)

  • Those who find it difficult to focus for 3 hours

Preparation & Cost Guide

  • Mac (Apple Silicon recommended). Please complete the installation and initial launch of Xcode in advance according to the pre-start instructions.

  • Claude account (paid plan recommended). I will explain which tools and plans are the most cost-effective to use.

  • Apple Developer Program $99/year (approx. 130,000 KRW, tuition not included, fee paid to Apple). If you don't have one, we will show you how to proceed.

  • Idea notes. It's okay to be vague - you will learn starting from how to cut.

Finally

Imagine yourself three hours from now.

When you type the name you created into the App Store search bar, the icon you made appears. Next to it, there is a "Get" button.

It might only have one feature. There might not be any reviews. But from that moment on, you no longer live in the world of "I should make it someday," but in the world of "someone who builds and launches." The distance between these two worlds is not a matter of talent, but a single three-hour session.

That idea in your notepad—let's actually bring it out this time.

I will see you in the next cohort.
