Hello, everyone in the second Vibe Coding Challenge cohort.
This is HonGong Jukjang, here to say one final goodbye.
Reading through the final mission and reflections made me feel quite emotional...
I thought you weren’t reading the updates and comments I posted, or the missions from the other participants, but I only just found out that you had actually been following them so diligently. I’m truly relieved that you enjoyed the challenge to the fullest—phew!
Now, with the arrival of AI, it seems that even when 100 people are given the same subject, 100 different results can emerge.
Thanks to all of you, I also had many truly valuable experiences over these six weeks and learned a great deal, so I’m always grateful.
As you studied Vibe Coding, you shared so many thoughts you had in the AI era—from the competition of ideas and marketing to the importance of service consistency, as well as lists of things you need to study further. Still, I think what doesn’t change is having the mindset to stick to the fundamentals, keep learning, and continue moving forward.
We worked really hard..
Now that the challenge is over, please apply what you’ve learned and make the things you’ve wanted to create without any pressure.
It would also be great if you recorded your progress on your blog little by little, and you’re welcome to show off your creations anytime (hjseong@hanbit.co.kr).
Oh, and if you’d like to keep studying, we highly recommend using https://vibeindex.ai/ .
It’s a site created by author Jo Tae-ho in the hope that it will help you with your studies.
You’ve all worked incredibly hard, and I’ll leave you with one last song.

Jack and the Beanstalk, please sell this. Be sure to put it on the App Store... I'll share additional ideas in the comments.
usna7, come check out a diary that understands the context and empathizes rather than offering fake empathy.
FF0000, you seem really good at giving prompt instructions. The design is perfect too.
December, instead of just comforting me with “You worked hard, pat pat,” please also create a diary that gives solutions in the T-version.
Osalgu, you managed to do it for free all the way to the end? Who even are you... This isn’t the time to study—it’s time to share your secret.

Hello everyone,
the current time is 8:17 AM...
I can't believe the morning temperature is 23 degrees.
The sun is still hot, but the air feels different.
Autumn is coming.
Summer, you jerk... you've been persistent enough. Seriously.. get lost already.
Once we wrap up this week, the long Vibe Coding Challenge will come to an end.
I think the fact that you can do Vibe Coding whenever you set your mind to it is both its advantage and disadvantage.
We started with 281 people, and now 23 precious solo-coders are still holding their ground.
I really hope you all finish successfully until the very end.
Once you complete up to Week 6, we will provide snacks and mileage.
When you submit your mission, please don't forget to submit your ID for Hanbit mileage accumulation.

Developer Analyst, you made this by requesting such clean... minimal prompts??
usna7 I tried a different approach because of errors caused by response delays when using Flask in synchronous mode. Also, I used the Anthropic SDK.
FF0000 님 What to do when there's no free image API?
December I'm sorry the content changed in the meantime ㅠㅠ But it's just so cute! ㅠ
Oh Sal-gu I modified the slow recipe release and updated the design using impeccable skills.

Hello, this is the Hon-Gong Chief.
It's seriously too hot because of the typhoon... It needs to pass by quickly or tear through this heat dome soon... This is really tough; it's killing me.
Does it make sense that the outside temperature is 36 degrees because of a double or triple heat dome? It feels like 50 degrees..
I should have given you a summer vacation break this week,,,
I'm worried you might collapse from the heat while studying for weeks 4 and 5.
Please stay indoors as much as possible and make sure to stay hydrated.
Even in this heat, you've brought so many interesting and fun features.
It would be good to take a light look at them before starting Week 5.MinGuk Kim Could you please share the handover prompt later as well?
Computer Han-ssaem's dark version of the to-do list app is also fin
Later on, you can adjust the features, time display, order, and so on, little by little to suit Dinko's taste.
zyqn It's truly amazing how you built this while considering how the model has changed from 6 months ago and how to differentiate it from already released services; you must read this.

Choi * Hee My goal for winter break is to actually create a schedule together with my child!
usna7 Check out this smart to-do management app that has jumped 100 steps ahead of a typical toy project. Shouldn't we talk to Samsung and have this pre-installed on their phones?
FF0000 님 Oh, a weekly task management app is exactly what's needed.
December 님 Could you please implement the recurring tasks feature?
Oh Sal-gu When you finish a task, items are added to Myaong-i's house, and Myaong-i dances. It's so cute.
design 님 Move the navigation to the left and make the categories more detailed!
3154sksk says there are things to do tomorrow as well.
Lee*mi I think you worked the hardest in week 4. Step by step, just like the textbook!

Best regards, JokjangHello everyone,
this is your Self-study Group Leader.
They said the monsoon season would end and the real sweltering heat would begin,
and it's true—there isn't a single minute or second that isn't hot, so as someone who feels the heat intensely, I feel like I'm living in hell.
When you're doing outdoor activities, make sure to drink plenty of water, and if possible, duck into the shade whenever you see it.
It would also be good to have a parasol handy.
We've already finished the week 3 curriculum, and before we know it, we've reached the halfway point.
So many of you worked really hard this week, and it was a pleasure reviewing your missions.
I'll be sharing some blog links from our self-study group members that you might find helpful, so please take a look.
Checking out how others are studying can be of great help as well.
Also, to celebrate reaching the 50% mark, we'll be sending out some snacks.

zyqnHonestly, you did a really great job. Since you shared your firsthand experience of how AI performance has changed over the past 6 months, I'd really love for you to read it all the way to the end.
User sooa15They even made it show the prediction % for 0~9~ It's a number with curves, so how is the recognition rate that high?
Jack and the BeanstalkIt analyzes my personality traits based on my handwriting? It even nailed the Chieftain's personality, wow.

jyhst also succeeded perfectly on Mac. If you look at the process, they succeeded almost like a machine.
Lee*mi Oh my! If you had a tough time this week, be sure to read this thoroughly.
Hello, Vibe Coding Challenge 2nd generation members
I am the Hon-gong Leader.
Since it's a common rule to start off lightly during the first 1-2 weeks,
some of you might have felt the missions were a bit repetitive, and those who finished all the lectures in the first week might have been confused, wondering what they were supposed to listen to in the second week..
(The intention was for you to listen only up to the assigned progress range.)
So... I totally caught you getting a bit bored lolol ㅠ
If you're bored, you're welcome to create something else based on what you've learned,
but please don't do the missions for other weeks in advance. What will you do then!
Oh, and I see some people are starting to subscribe to Pro because they're running out of tokens.
Since the free version has its limits anyway, you probably would have ended up subscribing by the 3rd week regardless.
However, if you ask, "Is the token limit completely generous now that I'm using the Pro version?" the answer is not necessarily.
1. Rather than making infinite edits within a single conversation, please divide conversations by task units, and
2. I would appreciate it if you could always keep in mind the habit of making specific requests from the beginning as you work.If you submit by this week, you will have already successfully completed 50% of the journey,
so I plan to send you a delicious snack to celebrate.
The weather is humid and might make you feel sluggish, so hang in there.
I am sharing some helpful 2nd-week mission links from the 1st and 2nd group participants,,,
and I'll sign off now.
Best regards, Chief of Self-Study

sooa15 You have studied the very basics very thoroughly.
Jack and the Beanstalk The refrigerator preference is so cute. Find out what your taste is~ Make sure to click~
usna7 The ultimate goal is to create a structure that is easy to maintain!
FF0000 님 This is one of the most outstanding results among many!
December For a moment, I really thought it was a portfolio and checked your work experience.
Oh Salgu Working with Oh Salgu, I learned how to double performance without increasing ad spend.
Lee*youngAh, this is so funny. Who even makes revision requests like this~ (Actually, I do too)
design Coding instructor version webpage
3154sksk 님 I can't believe you're even reviewing the lectures. This course is truly invaluable.
itsohyunI think the biggest advantage is that it lowers the barrier to entry so you can take on the challenge.
Pro tip for everyone: I heard that subscribing to Pro on the Android app is 5,000 won cheaper than on the web.HwangjewangjanunaClaude is a friend who might not write blog posts for you, but builds an incredible portfolio..
gw05028 Looking at the additional mission details, I'm so curious about the final result!
Jo*ji even included fake data to capture the overall concept and design perfectly.
steve The results are great, reflecting how meticulously you wrote the prompts.
Shin * Young I can see it clearly getting better with each revision.
ibert19 That's right. What you create is much more important than the tools you use. I believe we just need to keep finding our way forward.
jyhst 님 You did a great job creating a clean and neat webpage!
imi-nim A perfect portfolio born from perfect revision instructions
Hello, Vibe Coding 2nd generation members
I am the Solo Study Chief.
With 280 applicants, I thought, "Surely more than 38 people submitted?"
and waited a few more days, but it closed at 39...
As expected, starting seems to be the hardest part.
However, the door for Week 1 is still open. Don't think it's too late; just come join us.
Hmm, and it might have been difficult to complete the Week 1 mission,
https://github.com/taehojo/vibecoding/issues/41
because the weather and time might not have loaded due to policy changes after publication. Please refer to the answer above or
https://reviewict.notion.site/1-Ch01-01-2-39482b1857228078a65df5ed9ef4038b
the solution provided by itsohyun, who is studying with us.
Now, let me introduce some interesting blogs from the Week 1 missions.
It's only the beginning, but I'm already thinking, "This is insane."
From a cute Pomodoro timer and a pipeline differential pressure calculator (which I've never heard of before) to today's fortune, a baseball schedule, and even a super cool MP3 player!
Anyway, anyone can make things now, and what you choose to make has become the most important thing,
so it's very helpful to see what others have created.
I'll be picking and posting "Jam-Con" (Jam-Contents) every Wednesday or Thursday, so I hope you don't miss them and use them for reference.
You don't necessarily have to create the exact results from the book,
and you're welcome to apply what you've learned during the week to create whatever you want.Im*soon: The clock is really unique. It's like it's floating on the horizon.
Computer Han-ssam: A collection of AI tools for class homepage!
Tae* Eom: Oh, you displayed something to read instead of a news article.
Codingdingco: Ah, the Pomodoro is so cute it makes me laugh
seu****ong: The weather is appearing in the background of the webpage..
zyqn: No, but everyone, could you please read through it carefully from beginning to end??
Jack and the Beanstalk: My own cool and stylish MP3
usna7: What are you doing already making the portfolio for week 2~~ It's incredibly cool
FF0000 님: A master has appeared, calmly calling the API and succeeding while everyone else failed to load the weather..
Kang*hyun: That's right, we should have boosted the stock price like this...
December: Wow, baseball fans should definitely click this. A baseball game schedule created with Gemini. It's great because it includes the weather, so you can see whether a game might be canceled due to rain.
baryag517: To me, this is Naver starting from today.
Byun*hyun: Today's labor news~
Lee*young: And today's horoscope LOL, this kind of thing is so fun and I love it
3154sksk: Such a cute Week 1 review
itsohyun: For weather and Korean IT news, I was told they were blocked by CSP in Claude, so I was guided on how to add them to GitHub using free hosting and
have added them.gw05028: To me, this is my Google and my Naver.
steve: Pipeline differential pressure calculation app... honestly, that's a term I've heard for the first time in my life. I've never seen anything like this anywhere else, so I think creating it this way is the right approach.
Shin Ji* *hin: Wow, the cat-themed webpage is so cute!
libert19: Realizing the importance of prompts just one week after starting vibe coding
jyhst: Weather and news can also be brought in as Artifacts~~
+) Oh, right, we're having an e-book event right now.
The person in charge must have lost their mind—it's 1+1 books for 4,900 won.
https://www.hanbit.co.kr/event/current/current_event_view.html?hbe_idx=240&page=0
Hello everyone,
this is the Hanbit Media Hon-Gong Manager.
Whew~ It's already the second half of the year.
The first week of July somehow puts me in a self-reflection mode.
What is bothering me right now is not anything external.
It is myself...
If you've made up your mind to study Vibe Coding, you have to do it. There's no choice.
There's nowhere left to retreat now~
While running the 'n8n Automation' challenge until last month, I felt something:
In this era of AI... it is now a battle of ideas.
For those of you who are a bit ambitious~
after studying the contents of the Hon-Gong Vibe Coding book for each week,
feel free to create something you need or want to make, apply it,
and submit the results of your experimentation.
(For absolute beginners, just following the book is a success, so please don't feel pressured.)
There are types who endure discomfort and wait for someone else to make something,
and then there are types who suddenly decide to make a graphics processing unit like Jensen Huang and just build it.
In this space, let's all live with a Jensen Huang mindset for 6 weeks...
And the most important thing: ★Everyone clap together★ for a job well done, and ★Marvel at the ideas★
I'll stop the rambling here and share the schedule and instructions on how to ask the author questions.
+) Oh, and the video lectures are rumored to be great, so please make sure to watch them while studying!!
Thank you.
Best regards, Hon-Gong Manager[Vibe Coding Completion Challenge 2nd Class] Activity Period
• Week 1: 7/6(Mon) ~ 7/12(Sun)
• Week 2: 7/13(Mon) ~ 7/19(Sun)
• Week 3: 7/20(Mon) ~ 7/26(Sun)
• Week 4: 7/27(Mon) ~ 8/2(Sun)
• Week 5: 8/3(Mon) ~ 8/9(Sun)
• Week 6: 8/10(Mon) ~ 8/16(Sun)
I haven't set specific submission deadlines for each week because
it would prevent submissions once the date has passed.
As a result, you probably won't receive KakaoTalk notifications, but this doesn't mean "feel free to be late"
—rather, please understand it as "it's okay to be a little late if you're busy with other things," much like how savings accounts allow for emergency withdrawals.Q. Where should I ask questions during my studies?
Please leave your questions on the GitHub repository managed directly by the author, Taeho Jo.
https://github.com/taehojo/vibecoding/issues
When posting a question on GitHub, please include the following three items:
1. The chapter and page number of the relevant section
2. The text of the error message that occurred
3. A capture of the problematic code or error screen
For other inquiries regarding challenge activities, please contact event@hanbit.co.kr.[Vibe Coding Completion Challenge] How to Participate
• 1. Study according to the weekly curriculum and solve the given missions on your own (once a week)
-🚶Basic Mission: Mandatory
-🏃Additional Mission: Optional (※ You may complete only the basic mission each week.)
- Please check the curriculum for each week's mission.
• 2. Summarize what you studied during the week and your homework on your blog. (once a week)
- Naver Blog, Tistory, WordPress, Velog, Brunch, Medium, YouTube, Instagram, etc., are all acceptable.
- Please include the book title in the post title so that fellow students can easily refer to it.
• 3. Share your blog link and share your knowledge. (once a week)
- When submitting your mission, please share your blog link and set the visibility to public.Q. Do I need to pay for a Claude paid plan?
The course is designed so that you can follow along sufficiently with the Claude free plan. However, since the free plan has usage limits, conversations may be interrupted after exchanging approximately 40–50 messages per day. Additionally, during peak traffic hours, your usage priority may be lowered, resulting in slower speeds or restricted access.
Starting from Ch02, we will be handling complex projects, so we recommend subscribing to a paid Claude plan (Pro or higher) for a smooth learning experience. With a paid plan, you can engage in long conversations without interruption, upload image files, and generate more sophisticated code. Furthermore, you have the advantage of priority access even during high-traffic periods, allowing you to converse at any time.
