I'm still reading the beginning, but like the person below, I'm crying because of the bloody time I've wasted because I met this too late. In the part where it says, "The risk of meeting the wrong instructor and spending 5 months is greater than you think," I can't help but think that if I had quit when I felt like this instructor wasn't right and taken Coding Works's course, I would have gotten a job at a proper place by now... I met an instructor who was not only bad in terms of skills but also in terms of personality, and I suffered and wasted so much time and money. I hope others don't go through that. Towards the end of the 4th month of the course, I gave up on taking the instructor's course and was instead taking the teacher's course, and I can't forget the shock of a friend who was studying hard and doing well asking the friend next to me, "What is box sizing?" The only thing I gained from that class was the kind and grateful friends who cheered me on when I was struggling and taught me Inflearn and Coding Works. I'm studying now, telling myself that it's not too late. I recommended it to another friend who's thinking about getting government funding. I think it's fortunate that I've met you and created such good things even now. I was stressed out because the counselor kept hitting me and telling me to get a job anywhere quickly while I was in the middle of the job search process, but the words in the middle like, 'If you made a reasonable choice, focus and look forward and move forward' were encouraging and good. My goal this month is to finish all of the teacher's lectures and get a job at a good place. Thank you so much.

I finished the national scholarship program a month ago, but I felt lost about preparing for employment, so I downloaded it with the mindset that I could just throw away 30,000 won again. The guide said that the content was the national scholarship program class content, so I didn't expect much and just read it as a review, but the materials and content are really informative and the best. If this book had come out a few months earlier, I wouldn't have taken the national scholarship program, but I regret it so much. ㅜㅜ. I studied hard for 5 precious months without being late or absent, but all I have left is a shabby personal homepage, and I was embarrassed to talk about it confidently. The bad coding habits introduced in the book are the same as my habits, and I feel sorry for the national scholarship instructor, but it's something I've never been pointed out, but it really hits home. I'll start improving my skills from the beginning according to the employment guide. I really want to tell people like me who are thinking of taking a national scholarship program or those who are currently taking it to read the guide in advance and make a decision. I'm grateful to the Coding Works instructor for giving me this great opportunity even now.

I've always wanted to do web coding because it seemed so cool, but I didn't know where to start, so I was struggling. I bought it because it said I didn't need basic skills, and I think it was really fun. To be honest, I was a little worried because it was in PDF format, but I think it was much easier and better because I could read it at my own pace. And it seemed less boring than watching a video. It wasn't too difficult because it was explained easily even though it was my first time. It's still a little scary, but I think I started easily thanks to it.

What you will gain after the course

  • The Real Story of Government-Funded Web Publisher Courses Told by an Instructor

A PDF guidebook gathering preparation procedures and tips for getting a job as a web publisher!
Take one step closer to your goal!

The Real Practical Guide to Publisher Employment consists of not only preparation and tips for getting a job as a publisher, but also
content that allows you to learn and prepare in advance for practical tips that would otherwise be difficult to learn during the early stages of your career.

I happened to come across this post on the internet. Wow, what a wonderful saying, right? "Keep trying until you succeed!" When you see these words, it feels like your fighting spirit is surging, and it sounds truly magnificent. But in my personal opinion, how cruel a statement is this? I can only imagine how difficult it must be for the person actually putting that into practice. How pitiful is it to watch someone around you keep trying something that just isn't working until it does? It’s also heartbreaking to see someone who is capable but wastes time, money, and passion because they’ve taken the wrong direction. Not to mention if that person is yourself.

Therefore, while the word "success" can be somewhat ambiguous, let's define it as 'getting a job as a publisher' for now. And the 'Publisher Employment Real Practical Guide' will help you reach that goal of becoming a publisher a little faster.

📔 Course Introduction

The Real Guide to Publisher Employment is a course consisting of e-book (PDF) content.

I created this course with the desire to minimize the trial and error for those starting out to become publishers, as I've seen many people waste time going through those same struggles.

I believe I have poured all the publishing know-how gained from teaching over 100 students as a government-funded publishing course instructor over the past two years into this book. This is not a guide written from the perspective of a student preparing for a job, but a publisher employment guide created by someone with extensive practical and teaching experience who has successfully helped students get hired as publishers.

I have organized the essential requirements for practical work, focusing on the content used to prepare students who knew nothing for employment as publishers—covering everything from basic coding to intermediate-advanced publishing skills and the creation of personal portfolio websites.

The contents of the Real Guide to Publisher Employment course contained in the e-book (PDF) are...

We have meticulously included everything from the understanding of the job role and the mindset required to work as a publisher, to 'skills for improving publishing fundamentals' that allow a newcomer to publish like an experienced professional. As you will see from the section table of contents and details, it contains essential information for getting a job as a publisher, including not only how to publish like an expert but also tips for creating a personal portfolio website, how to write a resume as a publisher, ways to improve Web UI design skills, and detailed explanations of government-funded publishing courses.

📔 Why is this course an e-book instead of a video?

I'd like to talk about why the Practical Guide to Getting a Job as a Publisher is an e-book rather than a video.
Before creating the Practical Guide to Getting a Job as a Publisher e-book, I actually started producing it as a video. As I began production, I found myself constantly re-recording because I missed so many things, and I felt like I didn't have enough breathing room. So, I decided to make it an e-book instead of a video, and I believe it was a good choice. Writing allowed me to visualize what I wanted to say, choose the right vocabulary, and organize my thoughts on the scope of the content before typing, which felt much more stable and allowed the writing to flow better.

There is a reason why I am telling you this. Until I wrote this book, whenever students asked me to recommend a publishing textbook, I used to say, "Who studies from books these days? Just watch videos on YouTube or Inflearn." However, while writing this e-book, I realized that although video is a convenient medium, it doesn't allow for deep thinking, savoring, or contemplation. I felt strongly that by reading this e-book, students would be able to reflect on and savor their future plans and mindset for getting a job as a publisher.

When I first planned the practical guide for getting a publishing job, I spent several days surfing the web to see if I could find some resources, but I couldn't find any. After that, two thoughts came to mind.

First, I realized that people preparing to become publishers must be struggling because they can't find a clear direction.
Second, since there were no resources available online, I realized I had to create all the content entirely on my own.

📔 Motivation for Creation

I frequently receive questions via email or YouTube comments from students who are currently attending or have completed unsatisfactory government-funded publishing courses, asking what they need to prepare for employment as a publisher. However, since this is not a topic that can be explained in just a few sentences, I always felt a sense of regret while giving brief answers. That is why I decided to prepare a publisher employment guide.

And...

Sometimes, students I've taught send me KakaoTalk messages like the ones below, saying they've landed a job as a publisher. While it doesn't happen every day, I feel a great sense of pride whenever I receive these messages. Having served as an instructor for government-funded publishing courses over the past two years, I wanted to share the methods I used to help students with zero prior knowledge get hired. I hope this helps those who are preparing for a career as a publisher but feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.

📔 Providing a Functional Specification (PDF) for full website publishing

When creating a full website, the most systematic approach follows the sequence of [UI Design → Creating a Functional Specification → Publishing]. However, there are many cases where publishing is done without creating a functional specification. If you publish without one, consistency can suffer. In particular, if you do not define the HTML structure and CSS class names in advance, you are very likely to face difficulties in systematic publishing.

By referring to the provided functional specification example for full website publishing, you will be able to perform systematic publishing in practice.

🙋🏻‍♂️ Expected questions regarding the lecture

Q) Is any prior knowledge required before reading this e-book <Real Practical Guide for Publisher Employment (PDF)>?
A) None at all. You just need to have an interest in publisher employment or publishing.

Q) I am currently working as a rookie publisher or a rookie web designer; do I need this book?
A) The main content of this book explains in detail how to develop publishing fundamentals and principles. I believe that publishing fundamentals—the know-how to publish like an experienced professional—are essential even for those who are currently working in the field.

Q) What is the page count and content of this e-book <Real-World Guide to Publisher Employment (PDF)>?
A) The total page count is 159 pages. Regarding the content, Coding Works created 100% of all materials. Nothing was scraped or processed from existing internet materials. Every coding screen, every single character, and every screenshot was purely produced by Coding Works. In short, I am confident that it does not consist of common content that anyone can find on the internet.
Occasionally, I've seen e-books where the top, bottom, left, and right margins take up a third of the screen. However, the Coding Works <Real-World Guide to Publisher Employment (PDF)> is packed meticulously with text and content, just like the captured screens of the previous book shown above.

Q) Is there any other content besides this e-book <Real Practical Guide for Publisher Employment (PDF)>?
A) Within the content of the <Real Practical Guide for Publisher Employment (PDF)> book, specifically in [Section 6. The Beginning and Completion of Publishing! HTML Structure Wireframe], there are missions for creating HTML structure wireframes. There is content where you can download the completed versions of those missions and compare them with the wireframes you created. Detailed instructions are provided within the book.

Q) Are there any updates after downloading this e-book <Publisher Job Search Real Practical Guide (PDF)>?
A) Due to the nature of e-books, there are no frequent updates. However, if there is information that is essential for a publisher's job search guide, the PDF file will be revised and uploaded. There will be almost no updates where existing content is modified. If there is an update with additional content, we will immediately inform you through the news section, including what specific content has been added.

🙋🏻‍♂️ Regarding the basics of publishing...

If your publishing fundamentals are solid, you will get hired quickly. You will also be recognized for your work.
While the concept of "publishing fundamentals" might seem vague, it really isn't.
Having good publishing fundamentals means that if you simply avoid the things you shouldn't do while coding, only desirable habits will naturally remain. That is when you'll hear that your publishing fundamentals are strong.

In particular, when looking at the code of newcomers preparing for a publisher job, the coding fundamentals are often a mess.
However, they are unaware of how wrong their code is, and this becomes a major reason for failing to get a publisher job.
It is because they learned the publishing fundamentals incorrectly. If you know what's wrong, you can fix it immediately.

I have included all the specific methods to improve those publishing fundamentals in the "Real-World Web Publisher Job Search Guide (PDF)" book.

🙋🏻‍♂️ Who is the creator of this publisher job search guide?

I am CodingWorks.
I worked as a web designer for a long time.
I transitioned to a web publisher and worked in the field for many years.
For the past two years, I have been teaching as a recognized specialist instructor for government-funded publishing courses.
I have been running a YouTube publishing lecture channel called CodingWorks for three years.
Since the beginning of this year, I have been teaching courses on Inflearn, including Web Design Technician practical exam preparation, publishing practical examples, and responsive website creation.

This is the 'Publisher Employment Practical Guide E-book' created by someone who produces lectures with the sincere hope that Coding Works students achieve their goals during difficult times, and who answers students' questions with that same heart

❤ News of a student's success in landing a publisher job sent to Coding Works

▲ This is a student who studied publishing with me for about four and a half months through a government-funded program, and I received a KakaoTalk message saying they got a job.

▲ I received a KakaoTalk message from a student in the CodingWorks offline personal portfolio production course regarding their interview and employment results. (2023.4.24)

❤ An email sent by a Coding Works student after getting a job as a publisher

Hello, teacher :)

Hello, I am Kim O-jeong, a student who took your Inflearn lectures.
I am the student who sent an email this past summer to get advice regarding my personal portfolio.
Do you happen to remember me? haha

The reason I'm writing is to share the news that I successfully landed a job as a publisher with the portfolio I received your advice on!

And even!!
The company contacted me first after seeing the portfolio I uploaded to Saramin, and I was hired after a Zoom interview!
The company matched my desired salary, and I joined a company where I can focus solely on publisher duties without having to do design or development work.

It was a company looking for an experienced publisher, but they contacted me even though I'm a newcomer. When I asked why they reached out to me,
they said they had looked at many other portfolios, but the "Functional Specification" in my portfolio caught their eye, which is why they contacted me.

I believe this is all thanks to your lectures.
If I hadn't taken your course, mine would have just been an ordinary portfolio as well, but I was able to successfully get a job thanks to the great tips you shared!

Although I have never met you in person,
I relied on and trusted your lectures so much while working on my portfolio, and I put in my absolute best effort!

I feel that my skills improved significantly during the three months I spent creating my portfolio while following your lectures, more so than the skills I built up over a long period of time taking classes at an academy.

I wanted it desperately,
and by trusting and following what you told me, I achieved a truly great result.

Thank you so much!

Please stay safe from COVID-19
and I hope to see you again in another great lecture :)

Hello teacher~ I'm OOO, a student on Inflearn~ I found your email address by looking at your replies to other students.. haha

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you! haha

I've been struggling for about two weeks while applying for jobs after taking your courses...
I passed an interview at one company and am set to start working.. Thank you so much..ㅠㅠ

To be honest, I was very worried because I am 32 years old. I sent out many resumes, but I wasn't getting many calls...
However, the hiring manager at this company told me that they personally don't like candidates from private academies. haha
The company I decided to join is small, but they have both developers and web designers.
Their system involves training for 3 months before putting you into practical work.
The commute is a bit long and the salary is low... but I plan to learn diligently and work my way up to a higher salary! haha

Thank you so much for everything. You were so helpful with your answers to my questions, and it's amazing that I actually got a job after taking these online classes...

I will continue to improve my skills and study while taking your classes in the future. Fighting!

🙋🏻‍♂️ Please be sure to read this before asking a question~!!

If you have any questions while studying, please feel free to ask. When asking a question, you must include the issue you are facing, the code, and a screenshot of the browser result. For the code, please provide the HTML, CSS, and JS code together so that I can give you an accurate answer.

If you only describe the problem in text without including your code, it is difficult to provide an accurate answer unless it is a very simple issue. In that case, I will have no choice but to reply with, 'Please upload your HTML, CSS, and JS code along with a browser screenshot,' which ultimately makes getting a solution more cumbersome and time-consuming.

Gamnamu-nim~ Thank you for your honest class review. As an instructor who teaches a nationally funded publishing course, there are definitely students who don't fit in well. However, I always prepare for classes so that students at least don't have a bad evaluation of my teaching ability. When I wrote the sentence, 'If you made a reasonable choice, focus and look forward', I wrote it with the sincere hope that you would do so. Now, you can start again. Even if it's a little late, have faith that you're on the right path and always fight. I'll cheer you on~!!

Hello. lawesome1~ This is Coding Works. First of all, thank you for your honest course review. I think it will be a good tip for others. I have been a nationally funded publishing instructor for a long time, but I feel bad when I hear stories of students struggling and regretting because they are not satisfied with the course. Although it is a 5-month course that is not satisfactory, I feel better if you think positively that it was an opportunity to start as a publisher. Starting from scratch is not easy, but I think it is a 'very courageous choice' and a 'reasonable choice'. Coding Works will cheer you on~ Fighting^^

Hello. This is Coding Works. I also thought it was a good idea to make this lecture into an e-book, and I'm glad. As it is in the book, if you have a steady interest in publishing, you will soon be able to do well. Thank you for your course review.^^
