[Humanities for Office Workers] Human Psychology in Movies

This work presents interpretations of <왕의남자>, <올드보이>, <기생충>, acclaimed masterpieces in Korean cinema history, based on the author's unique and professional perspective. It also contains content that allows for a deeper exploration of their meaning by crossing over with various genres such as theater and comics related to each film. Additionally, reinterpreted content from a psychologist's viewpoint, covering various aspects, is presented through lecture-style classes.

The country with the highest number of moviegoers per year per capita in the world is South Korea. Going to the movies is the most popular hobby among Koreans.

Especially when a movie is a box office hit or has a controversial ending, people tend to look for interpretations of the content and debate the meaning of the ending.

This course presents the interpretations of <The King and the Clown>, <Oldboy>, and <Parasite>, which are considered masterpieces in the history of Korean cinema, based on the author's unique and professional perspective, and contains content that allows for an in-depth exploration of their meanings through crossovers with various genres such as plays and comics related to each film. In addition, the content of reinterpretations from various aspects from a psychologist's perspective is presented through lecture-style lectures.

Through the humanistic thinking encountered in the film, we were able to gain insight into human psychology and wisdom for life.

Field-oriented education

  • Through the characters in the movies <The King and the Clown>, <Oldboy>, and <Parasite>, we present a way to explore the mind by looking into the diverse and complex psychology from a psychological perspective.

  • This book contains methods for appreciating movies and exploring their meaning based on the author's psychological and humanistic perspectives on the characters in movies.
