What you will learn!

  • Basic Concepts of PLC Programming

  • How to use the IEC61131-3 standard programming language

  • How to use user-defined data types

  • Program development using libraries

  • How to use the Schneider M2XX controller

PLC programming for FA developers!

Lecture Topics 📖

Develop programs for Schneider Electric's logic and motion control controllers (M241, M251, M262) using the IEC 61131-3 programming standard, the PLC programming language . Through this course, you'll gain an understanding of modular programming, including user-defined data types !

Dealing with PLC programming
Attention FA developers! 🙆‍♀️

  • Anyone who needs to carry out a project using M241, M251, or M262 controllers
  • Anyone interested in IEC standard programming
  • Those considering applying to other global brands

Lecture Features ✨

  • It covers all programming languages defined as standards by the IEC.
  • The program is not limited to development tools, but rather explains the strengths and weaknesses of each language.
  • We explain the relevant content through examples that can be used in actual fields.

Learning Content 📚

    • 1️⃣ Introduction
    • We will introduce you to ESME and show you how to set up the controller .
    • 2️⃣ Programming Object
    • We'll show you how to connect to the controller and download the program . We'll also explain POUs and TASKs , the basic units of a program .
    • 3️⃣ Programming
    • Section 3 explains ladder diagrams and FBD , the most commonly used programming languages in PLC programming. It also introduces IEC standard operators . Section 5 then explains timers and counters , frequently used in programs. Finally, it explains CFC , ST , and SFC, languages suitable for complex programming.
  • 4️⃣ User-defined data types
  • We'll cover user-defined data types , such as arrays and structures , and explain Functions and Function Blocks , which are essential for modular programming .

Q&A 💬

Q. What can I gain by learning how to program using ESME?

ESME is a development environment that faithfully follows the IEC 61131-3 standard. Although it's a development environment for Schneider Electric controllers, it shares many similarities with CODESYS-based development environments, making it easy to expand to other brands.

Q. Can I take this course even if I have never used a Schneider PLC before?

We're explaining everything step-by-step, starting from the basics. You won't have any trouble learning.

Q. Is there anything I need to prepare before attending the lecture?

While subtitles are provided for each video, we recommend listening to the explanations while watching, as this will be more effective . Furthermore, ESME V2.0 or higher is required . While simulation functionality is available, it would be more effective to bring a controller for testing.

Q. What level of instruction do you offer?

Because this training is designed for beginners, it only covers the Basic level. Separate training for Intermediate and Advanced levels is currently being prepared. Even at the Basic level, it's sufficient for developing applications for simple equipment.

Things to note before taking the course 📢

Practice environment

  • Operating System: Windows 7, 10, 11
  • Tools Used: EcoStruxure Machine Expert V2.0 or later, M262 Logic Controller

Note

  • Although you can practice in simulation mode, it is recommended to train with a controller if possible.
  • Although it includes subtitles, we recommend listening to the audio description as well.
  • We strongly recommend that you personally try out what is explained in the training.
  • Since most of the content is taught through hands-on practice, no separate textbooks are provided.
  • If you have any questions or inquiries, please email us at swengichigo@gmail.com.
