It was such a valuable indirect experience. But what was even more helpful was the passion and attitude you spoke of.

I've compiled what I've learned, what I've felt, and what I've learned from my peers in my 20s and 30s, from a b-boy living a dirt-pocket life to earning a salary in the 200 million won range after graduating from Harvard. I've also compiled the thoughts and insights I've found helpful as I've spent my youth as a professional dancer, studying abroad and pursuing employment abroad.
NJ Namju Lee founded NJSTUDIO in 2004 and has been working as an architectural design, visualization, and computational design specialist. He is currently working as a software engineer at ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute).
He graduated from Seoul National University of Science and Technology (BS), UC Berkeley (MArch), and Harvard Graduate School of Design (MDes), where he won the 1st Digital Design Prize. He has worked as a researcher at the UrbanAid Lab at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), the SENSEable City Lab and Media Lab (Changing Places Group) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the School of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley.
I have taught courses on computational design, mapping, data processing, and visualization at Harvard GSD, MIT, NYIT, and international conferences. I have also taught at various universities in Korea, including the Ministry of Labor and Autodesk Korea, and taught Architectural Visualization and Digital Design Studio I and II. I have published "Simulation & Visualization of Architecture" and contributed to architecture and graphics magazines. I have participated in interdisciplinary exhibitions, digital film projects, architectural design, and computational work in Seoul, the US, Australia, and China. As a visualization specialist, I have collaborated with companies such as KPF, HYUNDAI, SAMSUNG, SK, and POSCO E&C.
With a focus on computational design, data processes, and visualization, I've been working on projects across a variety of fields, integrating the built environment and technology. My work focuses on researching, applying, and teaching integrated design processes utilizing data.
