Musculoskeletal Anatomy Video Lecture

Musculoskeletal Anatomy lectures were developed for pre-Med 1 students (pre-Med 1s) to gain early exposure to the musculoskeletal system and enhance understanding during vacation, facilitating a smooth start to their first semester in the medical program. Referencing Med 1 lecture materials from various medical schools, it was structured around basic anatomy. Compared to prior lectures, sections were divided more intuitively, and its composition was revamped to aid comprehension.

What you will gain after the course

  • Basic Anatomy (Bones, Muscles, Ligaments, Joint Function)

  • Useful for clinical practice and career selection too.

🎯 Course Objectives

The musculoskeletal anatomy lecture was designed to help first-year preparatory course students (preparatory course 1) gain an understanding of the musculoskeletal system during the vacation period, so that they can easily start classes in the first semester of the preparatory course.

It was organized with a focus on basic anatomy, referring to first-year lecture materials from various medical schools, and was reorganized to divide parts more intuitively and help understanding than existing lectures.

📌 Lecture Features

Stick to basic anatomy (bones, muscles, ligaments, joint functions)

Also covers clinical diseases learned in the second year of the course:
→ Explanation of clinically important and frequently occurring diseases for each part

Complementing the existing learning method that focuses on memorization with lectures focused on understanding

Also designed to be useful for clinical practice and career choice

👨‍⚕ Highly recommended for these people!

Preliminary Book 1: Establishing and Previewing the Musculoskeletal System Concepts, Book 1 is Easy to Understand

Grades 2-4: Reinforce concepts through review and make them long-term memories

Applicants to Orthopedics/Rehabilitation Medicine: Improved expertise and understanding, and helpful for interview preparation

Orthopedic/Rehabilitation Medicine Pre-Residency: Reviewing Musculoskeletal Concepts Before Starting the First Year

**** No matter what grade you are in, ask yourself: 'Do I understand the musculoskeletal system?'

Both undergraduate and graduate students passed the musculoskeletal course, but when I looked at the musculoskeletal anatomy again, I couldn't even remember 10% of it.

Because the first block of lectures goes by so quickly, there is no time for in-depth understanding, and many students just memorize the family tree, look over past questions, and pass the exams, it is rare for students to have a proper concept of the musculoskeletal system even after moving up to the next grade. Therefore, I recommend this book to those who do not have a good grasp of the concept of the musculoskeletal system or who want to systematically classify and study clinical diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Furthermore, the content is at a level that will be of considerable help to applicants or prospective first-year students in departments that deal with the musculoskeletal system, such as rehabilitation medicine and orthopedics.

📚 Lecture Table of Contents

  • spine, fore chest

  • shoulder

  • Upper arm, elbow, forearm

  • Wrist, hand

  • Hip joint, thigh

  • Knees, calves

  • ankle, foot

The contents by part are musculoskeletal anatomy (bones, muscles, ligaments, etc.), joint functions, and major diseases (clinical symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment), and are centered around bones, joints, muscles, and major diseases. Physiology, pathology, and minor contents that even a musculoskeletal specialist would not consider very important have been boldly excluded.

💡 Why we recommend musculoskeletal preview

1. Subjects with the most study load and highest retention rate
→ The musculoskeletal system is an honest subject where you will definitely get results in proportion to the amount of preparation you put in.
→ This is a subject that becomes completely yours as you study it repeatedly and build up your understanding.

2. Anatomy directly related to clinical and daily life
→ Highly recommended for all 4th year practicums (rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics)!
→ Especially for students who are interested in sports, the interest increases as they can apply the anatomy related to sports injuries to themselves!

3. Help with career selection and major interview preparation
→ When applying to a musculoskeletal specialty such as orthopedics or rehabilitation medicine, your understanding of the musculoskeletal system will be a clear differentiator during the interview.
