Understanding Manufacturing Security (OT Security) in the AI Era Through Real-World Cases
Understanding Manufacturing Security Through Real-World Cases in the Age of AI is a course designed to help learners easily understand the increasingly important topic of OT security in smart factories and AI-based manufacturing environments through real-world cases. This course explains key concepts frequently encountered in manufacturing environments, including OT, ICS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and MES, and compares the differences between IT security and OT security. It also examines, through real-world cases, security threats that may occur in manufacturing environments, such as ransomware, remote access abuse, partner account compromise, production line shutdowns, equipment malfunctions, and data tampering. Through this course, learners can understand the basic structure of OT security in manufacturing and identify the security perspectives needed to protect production equipment and industrial control systems. They can also establish a common foundation for learning subsequent manufacturing security courses by industry.
