Learn and understand the many services of ISO 14229-based UDS that are widely used in practice.
UDS Service frequently used in practice
UDS Standard Specifications for Each Service
General specifications of UDS
The purpose of this lecture was to resolve the regret that if I had known about it in advance and developed it, I would have been able to see a wider range of things.
This is the second series of UDS lectures.
If you review the ISO 14229 document, you'll find that there are a plethora of services. However, I've compiled a list of services frequently used during development to meet actual OEM requirements. I've also summarized the standard specifications and response specifications for each service, as well as any changes that may occur depending on the requirements.
When communicating with global clients, we base our discussions on the ISO 14229 standard document. Furthermore, the standard is also a reference when developing to meet their requirements. Accordingly, we've introduced our services based on the content described in the standard document, incorporating our expertise into a simple, easy-to-understand explanation.
Automotive industry job seekers
I'm preparing for employment in the automobile industry at companies H, L, and M. There's a UDS in the job posting, but I don't know what it is.
Current automotive industry professionals
I'm curious about how UDS is used and what its general features are. The standard document lists various services, but I only want to know about the essential services.
People who only know CAN and don't know UDS
If you don't know UDS, you're like a bungeoppang without red bean paste. Knowing the outside but not the inside is like knowing the inside. Let's learn how CAN is used in industry.

I visualized it to understand communication.
Based on ISO standard documents, this course provides explanations tailored to each service's specifications. Furthermore, the communication process is visualized for easy understanding. Students will gain an understanding of Request & Response and the UDS framework.
The common General section has been organized separately.
While specifications vary by service, UDS has common standards that all services adhere to. The general sections are the most fundamental, so they're summarized separately.
Among the numerous services, we've compiled only those crucial to the development process. You can understand the standard specifications of these key services and their corresponding operations. Furthermore, the diagrams provide an easy-to-follow overview, and the sequence table allows you to visually understand the invisible communication process.
Each service performs different actions. This lecture includes examples of the actions performed by each service. You can learn which services are used to read and write data, gaining a deeper understanding of real-world processes.
