It was an honor to be able to learn useful and helpful information about RPA through Professor Kang Young-sik in an easy-to-understand manner. I was especially interested in how companies can utilize it through actual practice.

This lecture covers RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Process Mining technologies, which have recently attracted great interest from domestic and foreign companies, as well as how to link the two technologies .

Hyperautomation was selected as the first technology trend among Gartner's Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2020.

According to Gartner, hyperautomation can be achieved through CoRPA (Complemented RPA) . CoRPA integrates RPA with process mining, machine learning, analytics, user experience (UX/CX), and ingestion engines .
Therefore, those who take this course, which covers the introduction and connection between RPA and Process Mining, will be able to learn very promising technologies and obtain good job opportunities .

This course covers RPA concepts and core principles, practical RPA development and logging methods through case studies, and key issues when introducing RPA into an organization.
You'll also learn the concepts, core principles, and unique value of Process Mining through hands-on practice. You'll also learn three ways to connect RPA and Process Mining, all while practicing.
The features and benefits of the course are as follows:
RPA Tool: GridOne AutomateOne ezbot (Available OS: Windows)
AutomateOne is a proven RPA solution adopted by over 100 domestic companies.
Process Mining Tool: Fluxicon's Disco (available for Windows or Mac OS)
Disco, supplied by PMIG in Korea, is used by over 200 companies worldwide (including DHL, Volkswagen, Audi, Microsoft, AIG, and Airbus) and is a proven process mining solution utilized in thousands of process mining projects. In Korea, Disco is used by Kakao, Hyundai Transys, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Prudential, NICE Information Services, and Changshin Inc. It has also successfully analyzed tens of millions of data points in process mining projects for the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Election Commission.
Q. Can non-majors also take the course?
A. Non-majors can also take the course.
Q. What program do you use in this course?
A. RPA program: GridOne's AutomateOne ezbot (UiPath was used to demonstrate the RPA solution structure), Process Mining program: Disco
[Note: The key content covered in this lecture can be applied to all RPA solutions.]
Q. Do I need a separate license to use the program?
A. AutomateOne ezbot: Download from the GridOne homepage (www.gridone.co.kr) and use it for free for one month. Disco: FBT files used for practice (files converted from CSV files so that they can be used without a license) can be used for free without a separate license.
Q. Please tell us what prompted you to start this course.
A. In fact, Process Mining was already being used in businesses before the introduction of RPA. In early 2018, when I was teaching a Process Mining course to corporate employees, a participant from a large IT company said he had attended an overseas RPA conference and heard a presentation suggesting Process Mining was necessary before implementing RPA, which led him to take the course.
While there are some domestic courses covering development using specific RPA solutions, there are no domestic courses covering RPA or the link between RPA and Process Mining, which is why I started this course.

Hello. I am Professor Young-sik Kang from the Department of Management Information Systems at Myongji University.
I opened the first RPA course at a domestic university and am currently operating an RPA convergence major. I published the first process mining book in Korea, <Process Mining (for Managers and Practitioners)>. I have conducted or consulted on process mining and RPA projects for organizations such as SK Hynix, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the National Election Commission, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, the National Information Society Agency, Dongwha Enterprise, and Changshin INC.
I will strive to create lectures that combine theoretical knowledge with practical project experience.
Thank you~~
