Process mining is a cutting-edge data analysis technique focused on processes. It allows us to visualize actual process flows, enabling a quick and objective understanding of the overall process picture. It can uncover problem areas like bottlenecks and rework, clarifying or disproving intuitions. It can also identify areas for process automation for the introduction of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). After process changes and automation are implemented, their effectiveness can be verified. Furthermore, it provides insights that can aid in the development of optimization models using machine learning or deep learning. For these reasons, leading companies at home and abroad, including Volkswagen, Rabobank, Prudential, and Kakao M, are actively utilizing process mining.
With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, process mining is now an essential skill for practical professionals such as data analysts, business analysts, IT professionals, field managers, and auditors, as well as college students seeking employment in related fields. This course is designed for those new to or unfamiliar with process mining. Participants will learn the process mining theory, various analysis techniques (such as deriving processes from multiple perspectives, analyzing complex processes, and handling incomplete cases), and the know-how required for practical analysis. Become a process mining expert through this course.
- Learn the process mining theory required for practical analysis.
- Learn various process mining analysis techniques that can be used in practical analysis.
- Develop process mining capabilities to uncover insights for improvement.
Dr. Bo-kyung Lee, the lead instructor for this course, is a Senior Process Miner at PMIG, a process mining company. She co-authored "Process Mining for Managers and Professionals," which was selected as an Outstanding Book by the National Academy of Sciences in 2017, and has worked on process mining projects for organizations such as the National Election Commission.
