I had experience building a personal blog using Next.js in the past. I found the instructor's recent information on Next.js, based on the official documentation, to be detailed and thorough, which was interesting. It allowed me to compare it with my own thoughts and learn a lot. I look forward to more high-quality lectures in the future. Thank you.

🎉 Planning Motivation

Hello! I’m Jim Coding, sharing programming knowledge on YouTube and Inflearn.

The React course I taught received widespread praise for its "99.999% trustworthy content based on the official documentation". In particular, I received a lot of feedback saying that the concepts of "State that works like a snapshot" and "Context and ReactQuery" were easy to understand.

Now, in response to your unwavering requests, we would like to join you on a deeper frontend development journey with our Next.js course.

👍 Next.js: The Standard for Modern Web Development

Next.js is currently the most popular React-based framework worldwide, offering features such as the recent App Router, server-side rendering (SSR), and incremental static regeneration (ISR) that are revolutionizing modern web development. With over 100,000 GitHub stars, it has become an industry standard optimized for code generation by the latest generative AI tools.

📝 Why a blog project?

It is difficult to develop practical Next.js skills through simple example projects with no real-world utility. That is because they do not provide the experience of encountering and solving the various problems you face in real-world work. After much consideration, we chose a Notion-based blog project that developers can actually use.

Learn Next.js core features in depth by building a truly practical blog yourself. By solving various technical problems you may encounter in real-world work, you can develop practical skills that go beyond simple theory. In particular, you can also experience a modern workflow that enhances development productivity by using Cursor AI, which is receiving significant attention among professional developers.

Moreover, as the course progresses, you will gain a strong sense of accomplishment and motivation by seeing your own blog gradually take shape as a real-world service. The sense of achievement and practicality you gain from creating a blog, a key component of a developer portfolio, will make learning even more exciting.

After completing the course, you will not only master the latest Next.js specifications but also have your very own blog that you can use right away.

After completing the course, you’ll be able to create results like these

  • Understanding Next.js App Router and Server Components

Up to the part I listened to, they mainly explained cursor AI and libraries, so there isn't much specific feedback I can give... (I'll revise after finishing the course) 😊 When starting a project for the first time, it's hard to even figure out how to use libraries or AI. Since they give little hints on how to update things and how to look at official documentation, I think you'll be able to easily figure out your learning direction when reviewing later. SW education has so much autonomy that it's hard to teach in detail, and finding a good educator is really important, and I think Zimcoding is someone who can fully play that role. One slightly disappointing part is the CSS section; the instructor is experienced, so they definitely build the UI quickly, but it feels a bit hard to keep up with? Of course, it doesn't matter since they provide all the lecture materials, but for someone without tailwind knowledge, it's like, "Do I have to study this too?" That kind of feeling? It felt different from CSS. But isn't that a developer's fate... gotta try and learn things you don't know.. 😢😢 I came over because the project name ""notion-based development blog"" sounded interesting from the start, and if you have some basic server-related concepts and know React, I think it would be fun to quickly build and deploy a project using AI and then fix it later. I highly highly recommend it!

Hello, Targetto! Thank you so much for your valuable course review. 👋 I'm glad that the tips on how to use Cursor AI, set up libraries, and read official documentation that I shared at the beginning of the lecture were helpful! 🙂 This approach will be very helpful when you review later or work on other projects! 💪 Thank you so much for your feedback on CSS and Tailwind CSS as well. It can feel difficult for those encountering Tailwind for the first time! But don't worry, you can focus as much as possible on learning Next.js. Simply understanding the concept of "this is how UI is structured" is enough 🙂 Additionally, Tailwind CSS is a very popular UI framework in modern development! If you encountered Tailwind CSS for the first time through this, it will actually be a great asset for your future development journey. The process of learning new technology can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Tailwind CSS is worth it. 👍 I encourage you to enjoy the rest of the lectures and complete your wonderful and beautiful blog! If you have any questions or need help, feel free to ask anytime! ✨

The lecture quality is not satisfactory. While it's good that it covers the latest tech stack content and utilizes AI, you're being too lazy with it. The explanations just read directly from the lecture materials, and when you don't know something, you just tell us to read the official documentation or figure it out ourselves. I felt there was insufficient explanation about the logic behind auto-completion with the tab key. Sure, copy-pasting is convenient, but it's disappointing that you only explain the principles of logic and code examples verbally without conducting actual hands-on practice. (Everyone, try it yourselves!!) I think this is a lecture with poor cost-effectiveness.
