What you will gain after the course

  • How to Use AI

  • Advanced Game Development Techniques

This course covers the entire process of developing a game idea into a playable 2D platform action RPG using Unity and generative AI.

It doesn’t simply stop at asking AI to “make a game.” You will learn a practical workflow for defining the scope of the game, using AI to write a design document, implementing a playable prototype, and then creating and applying characters, monsters, backgrounds, platforms, and animations in Unity.

Through this course, students will learn the following:

- How to turn a vague game idea into a detailed, implementable design document

- How to write development prompts that AI can understand easily

- How to break down a large game into prototypes that can be completed

- The process of implementing movement, jumping, attacks, monsters, and platforms in Unity

- How to directly run and verify results generated or modified by AI

- How to create a game-appropriate graphic concept and character design

- How to separate characters and monsters from images and organize them as assets with transparent backgrounds

- How to create idle, movement, and attack animations for characters

- The process of applying generated images and videos as Unity game assets

- How to fix issues that arise during actual gameplay, such as character positioning, jump height, and collision areas

- How to manage the original and modified versions of AI-generated assets, along with their filenames and licensing information

The biggest problem this course aims to solve is the difficulty of “being able to use AI tools but not knowing how to use them to complete a game from start to finish.”

Even when AI generates the code, it often fails to run in Unity, the project structure becomes complicated when multiple features are requested at once, or impressive images are created but cannot be applied to the actual game. This course presents planning, prototyping, testing, graphic creation, animation, and implementation in Unity as one connected process.

It is especially effective for the following people.

- Those who want to make a game but don’t know where to start

- Beginners who want to learn Unity by creating a real project

- Those with limited programming experience who want to take on game development with the help of AI

- Those who have created code with Claude or ChatGPT but found it difficult to troubleshoot and verify it

- Those who have created characters and backgrounds using AI but don't know how to implement them in Unity

- Solo developers who want to quickly create and release a small game on their own

- People who want to experience AI-based prototyping as a game designer or artist

- Those who want to expand their AI game development process into YouTube content, courses, or a portfolio

However, this course is better suited to those who want to complete a game by running things themselves and checking for problems, rather than those looking for a way to use AI-generated results without any review. To keep things moving quickly, the basic installation process for Unity and AI tools is not covered in detail, so you should be prepared to install the programs and launch their basic interfaces.

The biggest cheat code unique to this course is not the features of a specific AI tool or a few prompts, but the process of evaluating AI-generated results from a game developer’s perspective, based on more than 25 years of hands-on game development experience.

Through actual projects, we explain which tasks to assign to AI, how much to request at a time, what to check in the generated results, and what gameplay should be completed before focusing on graphics. You will learn not only how AI generates results, but also the decision-making process involved in managing scope, finding errors, and adapting the results to fit the game.

Additionally, rather than fragmented exercises that focus only on creating a design document or writing code, you will experience the complete production cycle as follows.

Idea refinement → AI game design document creation → Unity prototype implementation → Execution and error checking → Setting the visual direction → Character and monster creation → Animation production → Applying to Unity → Gameplay adjustments → Final testing

By the end of the course, students will have not merely experienced copying completed code, but will have established principles and a repeatable workflow for collaborating with AI to turn their own ideas into small games.
