It's fast and thorough. It explains the basic concepts of jQuery. However, it may be a bit overwhelming for beginners. I recommend taking the JS Basic Course and the JS Web Browser Course. Of course, there is no particularly difficult content. However, it seems that you can take the course smoothly if you know what jQuery is, why it is used, the difference between jQuery functions and jQuery objects, and what their features are. This course does not explain the concepts of jQuery functions and jQuery objects in detail. The main content is about the jQuery API. Personally, I am a person who can understand this kind of API content in a week, and I think that I should learn and use this kind of API content when I think I need it, so I quickly watched the lecture and passed it. Of course, not everyone is like me. If you are the type to organize the API step by step, you can take it slowly.

It is better to teach by seeing with your own eyes than by reading a book. It is also good to have a clear explanation.

1. Course Introduction

jQuery is a JavaScript library that enhances JavaScript productivity. A library is a collection of frequently used logic that can be reused and distributed. There are many libraries in the JavaScript world, including prototype, jQuery, and YUI. A Google Trends search reveals that jQuery currently has the most users.

Using jQuery can increase your productivity by more than 10 times compared to coding in pure JavaScript. jQuery also has derivative libraries. jQuery UI is a jQuery-based GUI library that allows you to create UIs with the same functionality as Windows applications. Recently, jQuery released a mobile library called jQuery Mobile, which is also greatly helping in creating mobile web applications.

The lecture seems a bit old. It might not be suitable for those who want to listen to the latest lectures, but it seems to be a sufficient lecture for learning the basics.
