2. Save the collected data to Excel.
3. Import data saved in Excel
4. Extract only words from collected data (text).
5. Data Visualization
6. Visualizing Data with WordCloud
This is a hands-on project class that briefly experiences the process of collecting and visualizing data using Blue House national petition data.
As you follow the tutorial, there are some settings and package configurations that you will need to make.
If it doesn't work properly when you proceed as I explained, you may need to search for it.
Q. What should I do if I have trouble installing the package or setting up the environment?
A. If you leave a question on the Q&A board, we will respond quickly.
A. You may also refer to the How to Use Google Colab section on the Q&A board.
Q. What is the difficulty level of the lecture?
A. I've included previews of the lectures here and there. If you're comfortable with them, I recommend taking the class.
Q. Can I get a code?
A. You can get it from this link .

I listened to the lecture well. I just finished the Python and Web Crawling Bootcamp yesterday and took the Blue House Petition Data Visualization class today. I thought it would have been difficult to follow along without basic knowledge of Python and web crawling. (If I had the knowledge I learned at the bootcamp, I could follow along well enough.) It wasn't easy to draw a word cloud (especially a specific shape) after web crawling in Python with just the information in the blog, but I felt like I finally learned the method after following the lecture, so it was good. However, I should say that the screen resolution is not very good. There were some parts where the letters were not clearly visible, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice if the necessary materials or links could be downloaded directly from the table of contents, but I had to keep visiting the website, so I was a bit distracted. And the decisive factor was that the Korean language setting in matplotlib was not working, so it took some time to solve that problem. It's quite easy to create a word cloud in R, but it seems that creating a word cloud in Python is not easy. Anyway, in the 80-minute lecture, you selected only the parts I needed, such as web crawling methods, how to use Excel, natural language processing methods, and data visualization methods, and conveyed the core content, which was a great help to me personally. Thank you.
Hello Anne Kim Thank you for leaving a review. I will look into the points you pointed out again! Thank you~
