Hello, this is American Snail.
Thank you for taking the course “High-Performance Real-Time Distributed Systems: RabbitMQ + Kafka + Redis Hands-On Project.”
Reflecting the feedback you repeatedly shared in the course reviews and Q&A, I will fill in the previously empty Section 2. Development Environment Architecture and Overview and supplement the explanations for the hands-on exercises. Both the course description and images will be improved.
Incorporated feedback
Feedback that while the concepts and theory are helpful, more examples and explanations that can be applied directly to operations are needed.
There was feedback that simply running the code after launching it with Docker does not clearly show why it was designed this way / the configuration, integrations, and architecture.
Feedback indicated that, rather than opening and running a completed file, there is a need for an explanation that allows learners to understand the structure and follow along step by step.
Inquiry About the Release Schedule for Section 2
Content to be added to Section 2
See the Entire System at a Glance The roles and boundaries of Flask, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis
Deployment and integration architecture Docker Compose configuration, service dependencies, and how settings are connected to the code
Overview of failures and backpressure DLQs, retries, duplicate processing, etc. (connected to the later RabbitMQ hands-on section)
Program Architecture Module responsibilities, message flow, and a learning roadmap of “empty skeleton → build it out”
Prerequisites and difficulty guide Provide clearer guidance on the course level and required prior knowledge
Next, we also plan to enhance the explanations in the hands-on sections so that learners can see why the code is written that way, rather than focusing primarily on running the completed version.
Release Schedule
Section 2 initial release target: October
We will provide sequential updates on curriculum improvements going forward.
If there are any changes to the schedule, we will let you know again through this announcement or the Q&A.
We apologize for keeping you waiting so long for the Section 2 schedule.
If there are any additional architecture diagrams or operational scenarios you would like to see, please leave a note in the Q&A.We will incorporate it to the extent possible.
Thank you.
