I’m a woman who took a career break. When I started looking into reentering the workforce, I wondered whether there would even be a place for me. I’m neither a professional nor someone with a specialized occupation, so I thought I might have to look for part-time work. Then I wondered if I should study, and that’s how I came across Inflearn. Out of the many courses, I was drawn to the description saying that a head of HR would talk about real-world work, so I enrolled. I found myself thinking, “What if I had continued doing administrative work at my first job?” When I looked at the table of contents, I thought, “Don’t I already know all this?” Things like, “A résumé? Can’t I just write one?” and “Choosing a company? Isn’t that something the company decides, not me?” and so on. But as I listened, I realized why I hadn’t been able to stay at companies for long, why I had struggled in every interview, and thought, “Ah, people who work in HR see things a little differently.” The instructor’s voice was comfortable to listen to, almost like something you would hear on the radio, so the content came across clearly. First of all, the instructor goes into great detail about the things you might otherwise have to worry about on your own. For example: “Should I submit my résumé for this position or not?” “Can I change this?” “How should I phrase this in an interview to make a better impression?” “Why do I need to include things like hobbies?” They explain simple things that no one else tells you. Since the content is presented from the perspective of an interviewer, it felt like I was hearing behind-the-scenes stories. It was entertaining, and there was plenty of useful information throughout. The one thing I regret a little is that if I had taken this course in my 20s, I might have used my time more productively. The instructor explains everything in such detail, almost like an encyclopedia, so I’m listening carefully. I still have a little more of the course left, and I’m taking it whenever I have time. I’m enjoying the course. Thank you.
