Although these were terms and knowledge I was somewhat familiar with, I decided to take this course because I struggled to incorporate them into my own portfolio. I always knew that CS fundamentals were important and understood what the issues were, but I only learned them through text and didn't know how to apply them to my projects or how to trigger and improve those problems myself. After taking this lecture, it was great to actually apply indexes to the DB, observe them through monitoring, and look at the code after hearing the concepts of locking. Through this course, I learned how to simulate problems and apply them to my portfolio. It was also great that the code was provided, allowing me to analyze it for review after finishing the lessons!
