It contains many tips and is overall a good lecture, but the main themes covered—"build fast and test fast" and "creating an app worth $1 every day"—no longer seem to work. The reason is none other than a change in Google's policy. Now, when you create a developer account to release an Android app, conducting a closed test (recruiting 20 testers) has become mandatory, making it much more difficult to release apps than before. This means you can't just churn out apps anymore. Only apps with clear value can be released. The major premise emphasized in the lecture has been broken. The era of competing through sheer quantity has come to an end.
