Hello. I'm Haesun Park.
It's been a while, but I'm happy to announce the publication of a new book.
<AI and Machine Learning for Coders> author Laurence Moroney's new book <Llama 2 and Beyond: A Guide to LLMs with PyTorch> has been published!

The previous book focused on deep learning applications using the TensorFlow ecosystem. This book uses PyTorch instead of TensorFlow and focuses on generative AI, such as LLMs and diffusion models. It is now available at online and offline bookstores! The e-book has also been released! 🙂

Hello. I'm Haesun Park.
Wishing everyone lots of blessings in 2026! 🙂
The main content explanation for the "Machine Learning, Just the Essentials!" course has been completed. Following that, "Large Language Models, Just the Essentials!" will also be fully completed soon. The good news is that author Andriy Burkov has given permission to use the supplementary content from the original book's wiki in the courses. Explanations about this content will be added to both courses, so please look forward to it! Following these two books, the "LLM Fine-Tuning" book will be published soon. I will inform you again when pre-orders begin.
Also, this time through Insight Publishing, I'm sending you a discount coupon for the "Learn PyTorch Deep Learning in 10 Days" course on Inflearn. Please take a moment to browse the course and purchase it at a discounted price if you need it. I hope this will be helpful to anyone who was planning to take a course like this!

Hello. I'm Haesun Park.
This weekend marks the end of the
challenge. Thank you for your hard work throughout the challenge. I hope it has helped you gain a better understanding of LLM and artificial intelligence. As mentioned in the challenge introduction, Gilbut points will be provided to challenge completers. After the challenge ends, we will send the list of completers (name, phone number, email) to Gilbut Publishing early next week. Gilbut Publishing will provide detailed guidance on how to receive and use Gilbut points.
There are still two days left. If you're on the verge of completing the challenge, how about making a strong push this weekend? I promise to return with an even better book.
Thank you! 😀
Hello. I'm Park Haeseon.
The schedule for the
challenge is already halfway through. (Ugh, time really flies, doesn't it?) However, it seems like many of you are still not keeping up with the schedule. You do know that completing this challenge gives you 20,000 points that can be used on the Gilbut homepage, right? 🙂 There are still more than 3 weeks left. Please stay strong and I hope everyone completes the challenge!
I will put more effort into developing the
GitHub + bonus content commentary lectures, along with the and lecture courses. Have a joyful Thursday waiting for TGIF. Thank you!
Hello. I'm Park Haeseon.
Are you having a pleasant weekend? 🙂 I have news about a new book publication to share with you.

The Hundred-Page book series written by Andriy Burkov, who led the machine learning team at Gartner, has been published through Insight Publishing! Both <The Hundred-Page Machine Learning Book> and <The Hundred-Page Language Models Book> are bestsellers that gained high popularity on LeanPub and Amazon. These two books have been released as <Machine Learning, Just the Essentials!> and <Large Language Models, Just the Essentials!> respectively.
These two books thoroughly explore the true nature of machine learning and large language models through theory and examples. Although they are relatively thin books of about 200 pages, their style of progressing step by step from basic mathematical theory to reach the summit is remarkably honest and excellently captures the essence. I recommend them to everyone who wants to experience the fundamentals of machine learning and large language models! They are currently available for pre-order at online bookstores. 🙂

and as gifts. Thank you for your interest! Hello. I'm Park Haeseon.
Thank you for participating in the
reading challenge. Over 500 people have already joined! @.@ The recruitment will close at midnight tonight and the challenge will automatically begin. We plan to send out free coupons tomorrow for the
code explanation course that we mentioned in the challenge introduction. We believe it will be helpful if you watch it together with the main videos provided in the challenge. If you have any questions about the challenge, please feel free to ask anytime through lecture comments or by emailing me. If I think it applies commonly, I'll add it to the frequently asked questions. If you have questions, it's also good to check the frequently asked questions first.
I hope you have a rich and joyful Chuseok holiday.
Thank you! 🙂

Hello. I'm Park Haeseon.
Thank you for joining the Build a Large Language Model (From Scratch) Reading Challenge! Did everyone receive their books? I just received my book yesterday. The paper and print quality were surprisingly excellent. 😊

There's still some time left before the challenge officially begins, but starting today, I'm creating videos and uploading them to YouTube and Inflearn. You can preview the videos for sections 1.1 and 1.2 in the curriculum tab.

You remember that the challenge starts on October 6th, right? For those who want to get ahead during this Chuseok holiday, I'll diligently create and upload videos. The challenge lectures will focus mainly on explaining concepts and important code, so you'll be able to listen without any burden.
As mentioned in the challenge introduction, a detailed Inflearn lecture (paid) explaining the example code will also be created. This lecture provides detailed explanations of each chapter's code published on GitHub. All participants in the complete reading challenge will receive free coupons for this lecture. I believe it will be helpful if you take it together with the challenge lecture. If there's anyone around you who's interested in this book, I would really appreciate it if you could introduce them to this complete reading challenge where they can receive both free lecture coupons and Gilbut points! 😄
And there's another new piece of news. Sebastian Raschka is working on the second volume of this book at Manning Publications.
I'm using it (https://www.manning.com/books/build-a-reasoning-model-from-scratch). I've also been assigned to translate this book! :)
This book is said to be released next year, so it would be good to read it after studying LLM from scratch. When I start translating this book, I'll occasionally share updates about it as well.
Then have a comfortable evening and a great Friday morning! Thank you!
