<Building and Learning LLM from Scratch> Complete Reading Challenge
This challenge is a 7-week challenge to complete reading <Building LLMs from Scratch> (Gilbut, 2025) together with the translator. For any questions about the challenge and the book, please feel free to contact us anytime through Inflearn or the translator's blog (https://tensorflow.blog/llm-from-scratch/), or KakaoTalk open chat room (http://bit.ly/tensor-chat, participation code: flow).
I received the LLM from Scratch book!
Hello. I'm Park Haeseon.
Thank you for joining the Build a Large Language Model (From Scratch) Reading Challenge! Did everyone receive their books? I just received my book yesterday. The paper and print quality were surprisingly excellent. 😊

There's still some time left before the challenge officially begins, but starting today, I'm creating videos and uploading them to YouTube and Inflearn. You can preview the videos for sections 1.1 and 1.2 in the curriculum tab.

You remember that the challenge starts on October 6th, right? For those who want to get ahead during this Chuseok holiday, I'll diligently create and upload videos. The challenge lectures will focus mainly on explaining concepts and important code, so you'll be able to listen without any burden.
As mentioned in the challenge introduction, a detailed Inflearn lecture (paid) explaining the example code will also be created. This lecture provides detailed explanations of each chapter's code published on GitHub. All participants in the complete reading challenge will receive free coupons for this lecture. I believe it will be helpful if you take it together with the challenge lecture. If there's anyone around you who's interested in this book, I would really appreciate it if you could introduce them to this complete reading challenge where they can receive both free lecture coupons and Gilbut points! 😄
And there's another new piece of news. Sebastian Raschka is working on the second volume of this book at Manning Publications.

This book is said to be released next year, so it would be good to read it after studying LLM from scratch. When I start translating this book, I'll occasionally share updates about it as well.
Then have a comfortable evening and a great Friday morning! Thank you!
