(Closed) [UX/UI Designer] Portfolio Challenge That Guarantees Resume Screening Pass

A hands-on program with direct feedback from an HR & Product Design Lead with 10 years of experience Through hiring tens of thousands of designers, I've learned one truth: "Portfolios don't get you hired because they're pretty—they get you hired when they demonstrate problem-solving ability." This challenge runs for 3 weeks with a weekly loop of 'Real-world Mission → Submission → 1:1 Feedback → Revision → Completion' to create a portfolio that can actually pass the screening process.

Working as a planner for three years at a startup, I had been preparing my portfolio little by little since last year. However, once I quit my job and began the job search in earnest, I felt completely overwhelmed. I took paid portfolio courses and tried to complete mine by referencing videos, but I lacked confidence in whether I was heading in the right direction. Especially with the job market being so tough, I felt a lot of anxiety about whether my career and experiences were actually competitive. Then, I happened to come across a free lecture. After learning about the coach's career—spanning not just design but also HR experience—I decided to pay for the program without any hesitation. Now that I've finished the challenge, my first thought is a deep sense of regret: "If only I had met the coach while I was still working in the field." Through this process, my perspective as a planner has shifted beyond just the technical skills of building a portfolio. I've developed a mindset where problem situations that used to feel burdensome are now seen as opportunities for growth. Most importantly, I loved being able to clearly learn the fundamental process of problem-solving. From JD analysis to resumes and project descriptions, this was by far the highest quality and most practically helpful feedback I have ever received, including all the paid lectures I've taken in the past.

I wanted to transition from UX/UI to Product Design, but I felt lost regarding the differences, the necessary thought process, and the steps I needed to take. Through the coach's lectures, I realized that I need to design in detail, even if it means persuading the company of the need for a research and hypothesis verification process. Since improving metrics is important at my new company, I should prepare to explain why I chose specific design methodologies. Thank you for helping me until the end, even when I was struggling to keep up!

While working as a designer, I felt like I needed a reset. After watching the free live session, I had a feeling this was exactly what I needed, so I made a big decision to enroll in the course. It was incredibly helpful because you pointed out the flawed perspectives I had held until now and guided me on what kind of mindset I should have to organize my work and how to prepare. I’ve just been going with the flow all this time, but now I feel like I have at least some sense of how to prepare moving forward. I really appreciated the constant encouragement throughout the challenge. Being told that 100% completion wasn't the ultimate goal helped me participate with much less pressure. Also, watching the other participants made me realize that adopting their mindset and perspective would be beneficial for me, and it made me want to continue networking with them! The challenge is over now, but I will keep updating my work based on everything you’ve taught me and the reference materials provided!! Thank you :)

I applied for this challenge because I had lost my sense of direction and intuition for my portfolio after a one-year career gap following my role as a startup Product Designer. I felt it would be helpful after watching the free live session. Through the challenge, I was able to complete my resume and portfolio much faster than my original goal. The feedback helped me understand exactly "why my materials weren't attractive to companies." The coach meticulously checked how the skills and strengths that recruiters and hiring managers look for should be presented, allowing me to make significant improvements based on that feedback! The constant encouragement and the advice not to obsess over 100% perfection really gave me the momentum I needed. Also, hearing that "the job search process is also an iteration" helped me adopt a mindset of experimenting with and validating my portfolio. Furthermore, learning a thought process that can be applied to actual work while organizing my projects was incredibly helpful. Even after I land a job, I believe I’ll be able to build a stronger career using the methods and mindset the coach taught me! Thank you, Coach 💗 I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to switch jobs but feels lost on how to organize their resume and portfolio, or those struggling with how to articulate their experiences!

I applied for this challenge to consolidate scattered information and to understand where I currently stand. If I had done this alone for three weeks, I think I would have been buried in metrics and failed to grasp the essence of the project. I realized I’ve actually done more than I thought, and I regret not approaching the project with the mindset of building a portfolio from the start. Although I have plenty of project experience, I often felt like the core substance was lacking. Compared to three weeks ago, I was able to create a more concrete resume and organize the projects I’ve worked on. I also realized once again how important problem definition is. I highly recommend it!
