Siemens NX provides an integrated development environment for more efficient, flexible, and rapid product design and validation in rapidly changing market environments. As a platform that provides full product lifecycle management (PLM) for product development, it is evolving into a 4th Generation Design (4GD) tool that not only facilitates engineers' design but also enables faster response to customer requirements. Equipped with diverse functions such as design, simulation, manufacturing, and CAM, it ensures design consistency.
Siemens NX 10.0 Drafting & PMI in Video, Part 2
Siemens NX 10's efficient drafting tools enable you to quickly and easily create engineering drawings from 3D models. This means you can automatically create drawing views from 3D part and assembly models, align and zoom drawing views, and systematically create various view types. Comprehensive dimensioning and annotation tools also enable you to document complex manufacturing requirements in drawings.
Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) is used to convey design information for manufacturing in 3D CAD and product development systems. NX's PMI capabilities allow you to express information such as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), text annotations, surface finishing, and material specifications.
Accordingly, this course is designed to teach you how to create a Drafting View, enter and use dimensions and annotations, and create and manage symbols.
