When I was a junior working as a data analyst in the consumer goods industry of a foreign company, I was obsessed with learning various data analysis languages and tools and obtaining certifications. However, although the certifications were recognized as specifications and helpful when I was hired, they were not of much help when I was actually applying them to work or changing jobs.
