TypeScript Basics for Ionic (ionic2) Development

1. Course Introduction

This course covers the fundamentals of TypeScript for using the Ionic 2 Framework, a framework for hybrid app development. ( This course, "Mobile App Development Using the Ionic 2 Framework," was released free of charge to allow anyone to learn TypeScript.)

Service development often requires developing applications for both mobile platforms—iOS and Android. Developing for both platforms separately is costly. Furthermore, service development often requires rapid growth, with the rapid addition of customer-desired features. Learning the Ionic 2 Framework allows you to develop applications for iOS, Android, and Windows simultaneously, significantly reducing development costs and time.

This course includes Sections 1 and 2 of the upcoming 'Mobile App Development Course Using the Ionic2 Framework' , which will provide basic theoretical knowledge about the Ionic 2 framework and basic programming skills using the TypeScript language.

I earned a master's degree in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Hanyang University. My background primarily lies in native app development, but I've recently been working on outsourced development using hybrid app development frameworks. I've also taught Android, Java, and AP Computer Science at coding academies.
