This course is designed to deepen your understanding of blockchain and develop the ability to write smart contracts on the Ethereum network. There are so many topics I want to cover that I can't fully cover them all in this course, and follow-up lectures are planned for the future. While not strictly connected, the lectures are connected in the larger picture, so I highly recommend taking this course before the next one.
What is blockchain?
Blockchain is a collection of data, blocks, linked together in a chain. The key is that because each user owns the blockchain equally, it's possible to prove that even one person's information is incorrect. While security up until now relied on a minimal number of people knowing and manipulating the information, blockchain maintains security by ensuring everyone knows as much as possible.
