How to study Linux suggested by the instructor 📑

🤔This lecture started from a frequently asked question.

  • ✅ For those who are learning Linux for the first time
    • 🤷🏻‍♀️Installing Linux was easy, but what do I do now?
    • 🤷🏻‍♂️There are so many commands and options, and I have no idea where to use them or when to use them.
  • ✅ For those who are just starting to use Linux
    • 🤷🏻‍♀️I have a repetitive task that involves executing dozens of commands every day . Can't this be automated?
    • 🤷🏻‍♂️I know a few commands, but I'm not used to them all the time, so it's annoying to look them up.

For these people, rather than covering all the options and all the commands,
I will introduce commands and options that are frequently used when operating an actual system and show you in what situations they are used.

Linux Bash Shell Scripting Basics Goal ⛳

💁🏻💁🏻‍♂️Getting familiar with the commands and options that are essential when handling Linux.

It's enough to leave a vague memory of "I'm sure there was an order to do something like this..."
Because that alone allows you to find and issue commands to Linux.
And then I collected those commands and made them into a shell script.
It can automate repetitive tasks or make necessary repetitive tasks convenient and fast .

Introducing Kang Min-gu, who will be giving a Linux lecture. 👏

Kang Min-gu , who started working as a server engineer in 2004, is currently an IT infrastructure engineer who is deeply familiar with Linux.
I created this course with the idea of creating a course that is a bit closer to practical use than the Linux courses available in Korea.

This Linux lecture consists of a basic part and a practical part . It consists of BASH commands and shell scripts that are essential for practical work, so please look forward to the practical part as well. :)

You can read more about the story in 🎙️👤Kang Min-gu's Xㅍㅍㅅㅅ article .

A Word from the Instructor for Linux Bash Shell Scripting 🙋‍♂️

Recently, there are many cases where Linux is installed as a server in the cloud to provide services.
A laptop that uses Linux as its desktop operating system (OS).
And although it is a slightly different series, many people use MacOS, which is similar to Linux.
There are more opportunities to use commands in a CLI (Command Line Interface) environment.

There are now more opportunities to come into contact with Linux in various cases than before.
People who are working or will work in this environment
The most basic thing you need to know is commands and options .
It is possible to automate various tasks by collecting them.
It's a shell script .

Linux is different from Windows
I vaguely thought it would be difficult because there was a lot of text.
If you look at them one by one, you will find that many of them are surprisingly simple.

I made this video so that you can approach it with a light heart and without any preconceptions .

The commands and options discussed here are provided in a form that can be used immediately in practice .

Of course, I am assuming various situations
When you want to check something in a certain situation
Because we're talking about using these commands and options, there are a variety of applications and uses that can be made of them.

Do you want to get better at Linux?
Do you dream of being a hacker?
Are you in a situation where you must use Linux?

I believe this will be a great first step towards taking the path you desire.

I am a former system engineer. I enrolled in the course and studied for my job change. I did not do any separate practical training, but I just watched and listened, and I understood it well. I also learned about options that can be used right away in the field, so I would like to rate this course as useful. I recommend it to those who are going through the practical training as well~!

Wow, Lepton-nim ㅠㅠ Thank you so much. I'm glad you understand. I've been re-recording it over and over again and refining it. I'll make the practical part more helpful for actual work. I got so much strength from reading this review last night! Thank you!

    • Wow, Eun-gong-nim! You really studied hard ㅠㅠ and even asked questions and wrote reviews like this!!! Isn't it so touching? It's our Friday and I'm really touched!! And Min-gu-nim said that Eun-gong-nim's questions made him think you're studying really hard! :) Please keep cheering me on!!!

Unlike professional academies, I liked the fact that it was a practical course taught by a company instructor, and I liked that it only organized and explained the important options. I'm still a beginner, so I haven't done any separate practice, but after watching the course repeatedly, I don't think there's much that I don't understand.. When will the practical part come out?

    • Hello FLA!!!! Thank you so much for understanding our planning intentions and organizing only the important options. I'm glad that there's no part you don't understand. In fact, the instructor filmed all the practical parts, so I'll just... edit them like crazy and upload them! It's scheduled to come out in mid-January!

I was able to build a solid foundation for shell scripting.

    • Thank you so much, Yeonwook! After you've solidified your basics, the practical part will be released soon! I've filmed everything for the practical part now, so I just need to edit it and upload it, so please wait a little longer! Thank you so much for finding out about this great lecture on shell scripts and leaving a review!
