The Formula for Ideas That Sell

This covers how to create ideas that are actually adopted and implemented—not merely ideas that receive applause in the conference room and end there. Drawing on 19 years at an advertising agency and 7 years as an adjunct professor at SADI, it analyzes from a marketing perspective the decisive differences between “ideas that get approved” and “ideas that get discarded,” and presents the entire process—from generating an idea to persuading others and getting it adopted—as a five-step framework.

What you will gain after the course

  • A way of thinking that redefines ideas from a marketing perspective and applies the concept of “selling” to practice

  • A 5-step execution process for generating ideas from a blank slate and packaging them persuasively

  • Strategies for recognizing factors that hinder imagination and creating critical connections that lead to ideas being adopted

Why does your idea disappear after the applause?

Ideas that receive applause are different from ideas that actually get adopted.
We redefine ideas from a marketing perspective and connect the process from ideation through persuasion and adoption, turning them into proposals that get implemented.

A plan that used to receive nothing but praise for being fresh in the meeting room becomes a proposal that helps others understand why they need it.

An idea that once felt daunting in front of a blank page
becomes a concrete idea through the laws of discovery and a five-step process.

We find the critical connection between ideas and stakeholders, leading to adoption and execution.

It’s not that you’re stuck because you lack ideas; you simply haven’t yet created a structure in which ideas can sell.
From ideation to persuasion and adoption, powerful tools—the five-step thinking method, idea checklist, and method of making decisive connections that you can reuse in practice—will make your ideas sell.

From generating ideas to persuading others and getting them adopted,
understand the formula for marketing your ideas.

Ideas that merely sit saved in a folder, and ideas that end with applause in the meeting room, can be reborn as
ideas that are selected and put into action.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

You will gain confidence in the entire process of developing an idea, fleshing it out, and turning it into action.

  • You won’t stop at coming up with an idea; you’ll organize who needs it and why, as well as what actions it will inspire. You’ll be able to distinguish between proposals that receive a positive response in a meeting only to disappear and those that lead to actual execution.

How to turn an idea applauded in a meeting into actual adoption and execution

Your idea

It will sell now

Based on cases accumulated in advertising agencies and creative education settings, this course redefines ideas from a marketing perspective and guides you through a concrete execution process from ideation to persuasion and adoption. You will discover why proposals were put on hold in meetings or why it was difficult to persuade clients and stakeholders, and directly design a structure that makes your ideas sell.

For ideas that sell

<Stage / Core / Skills>

Hello
This is jaypang0324

I spent 19 years at advertising agencies and 5 years at a global consumer goods company. As an executive creative director at Cheil Worldwide and TBWA Korea, I led campaigns for Samsung, SK Telecom, LG, Coupang, and adidas. At Amway Korea, I oversaw internal and external communications. In between, I spent 7 years as an adjunct professor at Samsung SADI. I taught students who had to make a living from design how to develop ideas and how to sell them. For 28 years, my work has been one thing: bringing out what exists in someone else’s mind and making other people want to buy it. Along the way, I saw countless ideas that made it through and countless others that were discarded. I want to share the difference between them. I currently run the brand communication strategy consultancy the comm.PACT.
