OpenCV - WebApp (CV Lecture)

Let's create a web app that uses OpenCV to process uploaded images and detect faces. While we use Django as the web framework, we've designed it so you can follow along without any prior Django knowledge. We'll use Linux, which is compatible with Windows and Mac, and we'll teach using Python and the Python version of OpenCV.

Learning Objectives

  • Let's create a face detection web app using Open CV.

Helpful people

  • People who are going crazy wondering how on earth images are uploaded and processed on the web (like me..)
  • Anyone who wants to create a web app using OpenCV
  • Those who want to learn the basics of the Django web framework

A good lecture to follow along I became interested in OPENCV, so I followed the lecture in C++, but I felt that VS 2013 and later versions were difficult to follow, so I came to the Python lecture. The lecture content was not long and easy to follow, so I had fun practicing. One thing that was disappointing, as I mentioned above, was that the lecture content was short, so it felt like I just pasted the code and left... I followed it, but I felt a lot of regret. I wish it had been a more expandable lecture, such as how to utilize it, but it ended after it was created, so I feel regretful.
