AWS Cloud Architecture Course: Building a Solid Foundation from CS Basics

😭 CS and cloud... For non-majors, it was just alien language,,

I started studying development with Python as a complete beginner with no technical background. Later, I also experienced mobile development, and then by chance, I entered the world of DevOps. However, this journey was far from smooth. The concepts of AWS and cloud computing were incredibly complex at first.

First, there was a barrier with cloud and CS fundamental knowledge,,

When I first started learning AWS, it was fun but I was really just banging my head against a wall. Even when I looked up YouTube videos and read blog posts, all the explanations assumed you already knew the basic concepts, like "Create a VPC, set up subnets, and then..."

And the network concepts were really too difficult,,

IP, subnets, routing tables... I had heard these terms before, but it was really difficult to understand how they actually work. I couldn't grasp what it meant when people said "data packets pass through the OSI 7 layers."

However, I eventually learned through experience over time that CS is the foundation of everything.

What I realized over time was that no matter how complex cloud technology may seem, it's ultimately built on fundamental computer science and networking principles. Once I understood those foundations, AWS, Cloud-Computing, networks, and operating systems were no longer intimidating subjects.

I am confident that in the AI era, AWS Cloud is not a choice but a necessity for all developers.

But just because it's essential doesn't mean it's easy at all.. I created a course that explains everything step by step from the basic principles of computers and networks to cloud technology, even for non-majors and development newbies. I structured it so that complex terms are explained through real-life analogies and you can experience them directly through hands-on practice. Even during the course creation process, it served as a great review and learning experience for me! I hope this course will be a great help to people like me who have experienced frustration in front of the wall of cloud and CS :)

👨‍🏫 After taking this course...

  • You will understand the basic AWS network concepts: VPC, Subnet, and Security Group.

  • I can deploy my application to EC2.

  • You can learn about the basic structure of computers and cloud-computing concepts.

  • You can understand and explain the basic principles and background of cloud architecture.

  • CS knowledge like OS and Network that frequently comes up in interviews feels familiar and approachable.

  • The cloud no longer feels like a distant, abstract concept!

🌟Recommended for these people!

  • Beginner developers who want to properly understand what the cloud is

  • Those who have used the AWS console but are curious about the hidden principles underneath

  • Backend developers who want to overcome their fear of server deployment

  • Job seekers who want to confidently answer network and cloud questions in technical interviews

  • Someone who wants to develop an interest in CS

🙇🏻‍♂️ Hello!

I'm a non-major who started with mobile development and currently work as a DevOps engineer at an AI unicorn company. I have diverse experience including working in manufacturing and even starting a business briefly. My strength is explaining things simply - I've found fulfillment in making difficult knowledge easier to understand and helping others learn. That's why I've been consistently doing education-related side work since my college days! I've gathered the courage to launch a course on Inflearn. Though it may be lacking, I hope it helps many people as much as I've prepared it wholeheartedly!

For everyone who is taking the course

As someone who didn't major in computer science, I just memorized everything, but this is the first time someone has explained the meaning from the beginning with background information, it's amazing... 😭😭😭 I'll try to learn AWS well too😊😊😊 Thank you!!

It feels like the lecture just skims the surface, introducing concepts rather than delving into them deeply, which leaves a sense of lacking depth. It would have been helpful if the lecture included building a 3-tier architecture together while explaining it.

Ah yes, it's a beginner's class, so I prepared it to be understandable for many people, as going too deep might make it uninteresting. So, it might be different from what you expected... I'll keep that in mind and prepare for the next lecture. Thank you!

Hello lejulee9, I've also added the practice of building a 3-tier architecture to the video! If you watch it once and follow along, you'll understand much better. Thank you for the feedback, and I will repay you with better lectures. Thank you.
