Part 1 covers the Generative Shape Design (GSD) workbench, which is used for modeling complex curves and surfaces in CATIA. It covers everything from creating basic Points, Lines, and Planes to creating 3D curves using Combine, Projection, and Parallel Curves, as well as creating various Circles, Corners, and Helixes. It also covers basic surface creation and various methods for creating advanced surfaces using Offset, Sweep, Fill, Multi-Sections, and Blend. It also covers continuity (Geometric Continuity), curvature checking, and understanding Max Deviation in the Connect Checker, as well as Join, Healing, and Curve Smoothing.
This course uses Catia V5-6R2017. Please keep this in mind when taking the course.
