If you are new to digital forensics
(Total beginner!)

🙋‍♂️
Those who are at a loss when preparing for the Level 2 Digital Forensics Specialist Practical Exam

When I first taught a practical exam for the Level 2 Digital Forensics Specialist for employees at the place I worked, the feedback I got after giving a general lecture at a general level was always , "I don't know what you're talking about."
In retrospect, I couldn't have followed along when I told people who didn't even know exactly what a 'sector' and a 'cluster' were to analyze the partition table in the MBR and go to the BR sector.

I think many people who are preparing to obtain the Level 2 Digital Forensics Specialist qualification will feel the same way.
At least for now, it's difficult to find information or educational materials related to the exam, and even the materials and lectures that you can find are specialized for specific areas rather than the overall picture, so it must have been difficult, right?

This course was created to solve such difficulties.
As your first step towards becoming a digital forensics expert, we will slowly and thoroughly explain everything from forensic terminology for understanding basic lectures to writing exam answers.

So that anyone can pass
I prepared it carefully.

Only the essentials
Detailed and calm

I left out unnecessary content in the hopes of explaining it to someone who is new to digital forensics. I will explain in detail and calmly only the content that you absolutely need to know to take the exam.

Complex legal theories too
Clean up in one go

Legal theory, it is difficult to organize all at once, right? Even if it is not perfect, I will organize it by case so that you can at least know how to write the answer. (Separate materials provided)

From the moment you enter the examination room
Until submission of the answer sheet

I will slowly explain the entire process in order, from what to do when you first enter the testing room, to the start of the test, writing answers to theory questions and exploring evidence, to the end of the test.

Encase
or
Autopsy
Just choose!

Want to use Encase, but having trouble accessing it?
So, I also prepared a lecture using Autopsy!
Now practice with the analysis tools you want to use in the exam room !

✔ Please note that Encase additional lecture updates and questions will not be answered starting October 2023.

Since it's my first time ,
So as not to get confused!

If you can use various forensic programs, you can find evidence more accurately and easily. To do so, of course, you need to know how to use various programs. However, I have seen many unfortunate situations where beginners cannot use even a single program properly because the more programs they have to use, the more confused they become about how to use each program.

Since it's your first time, don't be confused!
The programs used in the lectures have been kept to a minimum.

1. EnCase Course
1) Encase 21.2 (commercial program. Available only with license)
2) FTK Imager 4.5.0.2
3) HxD 2.5.0.0

2. Autopsy Course
1) Autopsy 4.20.0
2) FTK Imager 4.7.1.2
3) HxD 2.5.0.0
4) REGA 1.5.3(DFRC)
5) LNK Parser(DFRC)

I'll help you use only the tools you absolutely need !

BONUS 🎁

You'll feel more reassured if you try solving the practice problems , right?

After solving scenarios and problems similar to the actual exam, check for any shortcomings by watching the video of the solution and develop a sense of the actual exam.

Q&A 💬

Q. I'm a complete beginner and don't know anything. Will I be able to follow the lecture?

You've come to the right place :)

Q. Will I be able to pass the practical exam just by watching this lecture?

The lecture I prepared is not a lecture for passing with a high score.
If you practice consistently and at least know the contents covered in the lecture, I think it is quite possible.

Q. Are additional classes updated for each exam?

The goal of this lecture is to help you understand the next level by getting the basics down, so unfortunately, there are no plans to update the lectures at this time. Personally, I have a separate job, so it is true that it is more difficult to make time than I thought. So I apologize for not being able to give you a definite answer, but if it is a part that is absolutely necessary for the lecture and I have the time, I will try my best.

From a beginner's perspective
I'll tell you as a friend.

🎙️ I am not a digital forensics expert. I am qualified as a digital forensics expert, and I have been lucky enough to win awards in competitions and have worked on digital forensics, but I do not consider myself an expert. The work I have done is relatively low-level expertise, and I have seen so many excellent people that I think I still have a lot to learn before I can call myself an expert.

Since I am a beginner who still doesn't know much, I think I can look at it from the same level as those who are just starting out. Think of me as a friend who knows a little more than the people taking this class and is studying alongside you :)

I don't think I need to say anything else. I'm still learning, but when I see the emails I get, I see words of encouragement for students who are about to take the exam, continuous updates, and quick replies to questions from students. It's a lecture that has everything. It's a great lecture that you won't regret spending money on. I think it's the best lecture for those who are new to digital forensics. I want to thank the instructor for creating such a great, high-quality lecture. Thank you :)
