Starting C# without knowing anything

Before we begin

We often hear from people around us that we need to prepare in advance for the changing times brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including "big data," "artificial intelligence," and the "Internet of Things." However, learning programming is similar to, yet different from, the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

These days, I see young students learning programming through "coding education" and using words like "Python" and "R." They pretend to understand, but in reality, they don't. If that's the case, it's perfectly normal.

"Coding education" and "programming" are different. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to begin with an understanding of the differences? If you don't know "why" you need to learn something, I believe you've already started off on the wrong foot.

This course is designed for beginners, making it easy for middle and high school students and even working professionals without prior programming experience to learn programming. It also addresses common questions beginners often have.

Lecture topic

"C#" is a programming language. This course provides students with programming experience through "C#." I believe there's no right answer when it comes to programming languages. Don't be swayed by those who say, "Wouldn't it be better to learn "Python" instead of "C#?" This course is about "learning programming through C#."

With the "programming experience" you've gained in this course, you can choose a programming language that suits you for the next lecture. The world of programming is vast. As this lecture also covers, as of May 2020, there are 669 programming languages in existence.

Object-oriented programming (OOP), C# programming, Visual Studio 2019 Community, Windows Forms, What can you do with programming?, What is programming?, The difference between programming and coding education, Which programming language is right for me?, Data types, 8 programming tricks to follow, C# operators, Debugging, How to grow, etc.

Lecture Features

This course covers the fundamentals of programming using simple language, aimed at middle and high school students and the general public, even if they aren't majoring in the subject. The lectures are tailored to beginners' level, ensuring a thorough understanding.

Tools covered here

  • Development Environment: Visual Studio 2019 Community

Q&A on expected questions before class

Q : I've never programmed before. Can I do it?
A : Yes, we've prepared the lectures at a beginner's level. You'll be able to do it.

Q : I'm an ordinary office worker. Would it be okay for me to take this course just for general education?
A : Yes, I think it's sufficient to take it as a liberal arts course. Just take it according to your goals.

Q : To what extent will I be able to develop C# after taking this course?
A : While it may vary from person to person, it seems possible to accomplish simple development tasks. However, as this course focuses on the beginnings of programming from a beginner's perspective, learning through other courses may be necessary.
