I will teach you how to use the free image editor program GIMP.
GIMP is a graphics program used to edit images.
It can be used as a replacement tool for Photoshop.
As a free tool, its strengths are its extensibility and functionality.
Many designers mainly use Photoshop to edit and modify images such as portraits or product photos, but the license fee is high. To solve this problem , it is good to use GIMP, a free program that can replace Photoshop.
When creating graphic works, you can use effects and cutting functions that were only available in Photoshop to create the design you want in GIMP. We will create works that actual designers often make, and introduce in detail how to implement these effects in GIMP.

Q. Why should I use GIMP instead of Photoshop?
If you have an environment where you can use Photoshop, you can use it as is, but for individuals or those who find licensing fees burdensome, I think GIMP, which is free, will be of great help.
Q. Is it okay for someone who already uses Photoshop to get started?
If you are an advanced user of Photoshop, you may be able to visualize how to achieve this effect in GIMP. However, the structure of important tools such as layers and movement is very different from that of Photoshop, so you may be confused.
Q. So there is no substitute for illustrator?
I used to work with Illustrator + Photoshop, but now I work with Figma + GIMP. However, since Figma is for UI design, like Adobe XD or Sketch, I recommend using Inkscape.

It's not a lecture where you just improvise and squeeze out the work, but I often feel that you put a lot of thought into it from the beginning to the end while watching the video. If you upload a capture of the final result, not the work in progress, on the lecture introduction page, I think you'll get a lot more traffic to the lecture!! It was really helpful. Thank you!
