What you will gain after the course

  • College entrance/transfer, employment essay - Humanities and social sciences

  • Embodiment of the fundamental principles of solving humanities essay problems

From the basics of essay writing to solving humanities essay problems
I'll help you embody the fundamental principles. ✍️

✅ The basis of argumentation is the ability to construct an argument based on correct reading of the given text.

Essay writing isn't just about writing. You need to accurately understand the examiner's intent through proper reading of the passage, then build upon that understanding to effectively present an argument for the question. Simply writing fluently on a topic doesn't guarantee a high score.

✅ It is difficult to prepare for an essay on your own.

Most essay exams are difficult to study for on your own. Even after you've written your answer, it's difficult to identify your mistakes. Students often mistakenly believe that simply reciting well-informed arguments constitutes a good answer. The fundamental solution is to read the given text logically and develop a concrete argument. Together, you should work with me to embody the argument and transform your thinking and writing habits into those optimized for admission to the university you're applying to. This cannot be achieved through vague information floating around on the internet or lecture-style classes at your local academy.

✅ So, we prove that we passed with Seong-gyeong Seo's logic.

By consistently studying this course, you will internalize the principles of argumentation and problem-solving, enabling you to logically come up with the optimal answer to any given question, transforming you into a "successful student."

The fundamentals of argumentation
Embodying problem-solving principles

Lecture-style classes, online lectures, and general textbooks on the market don't focus on embodying the fundamental problem-solving principles of essay writing. Consequently, they often make excuses: blaming the student for failing, claiming the essay test is inherently narrow, saying poor scores will make it difficult to get into your target university, or insisting on the importance of a student's vocabulary and writing skills.

In the humanities essay section of college entrance exams, the topic of the essay tends to be based on social studies. The problem here is that when concepts from these subjects appear in essay questions, they often don't allow students to simply memorize the content. This often creates a trap, allowing only students with a thorough understanding of the concepts to produce excellent answers. Therefore, in this course, we've simplified the core concepts of various Eastern and Western philosophers, making them accessible even to those without a philosophy background.

By writing your own answers to the basic questions in this book, you'll feel like you're embodying the fundamental argument structure of this course. Based on this, you'll practice answering advanced questions using the same method. This is incredibly beneficial. After solving dozens of these difficult questions, you'll naturally find them easier when you see actual past exam questions. This not only instills confidence in students' ability to pass the exam, but also helps them relax during the exam. All students preparing for the humanities essay writing exam, whether for college entrance, transfer, or employment, let's learn together!

💡 Course Features

  • Unlike typical essay writing lectures that simply repeat problem-solving and list simple answers, this course focuses on understanding the logic behind answer construction and improving argumentative skills for specific questions. Furthermore, it includes a review session, so you can clearly identify specific areas for improvement in your own answers.
  • It consists of approximately 60% theory and 40% practice .
  • The difficulty level is beginner .

Changes in students after attending the lecture 📜

Student Oh**

The instructor's lectures focus on topics expected to appear on the exam through thorough analysis of past exam questions, which proved incredibly helpful in the actual exam. In fact, the topic of "sustainable development," a key emphasis the instructor placed on, appeared in the Yonsei University essay, which greatly aided my writing.

Student Kim**

The class explained the essential elements of writing essays, such as university essay prompt types, reading techniques, and outlines, in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, allowing me to understand them without much difficulty. I was also impressed by the speed with which the instructor responded to any questions I had outside of class.

Expected Questions Q&A 💬

Q. What services do you specialize in?

We provide comprehensive preparation for college/transfer/employment humanities and social science essays, presentation-based interviews/document-based interviews for college/transfer/high school admissions, completion of college/transfer/high school admissions self-introductions, lectures on social studies/philosophy/humanities, and college admissions consulting (regular/early admissions).

Q. Why should I learn essay writing ?

Of course, you can tackle college entrance and employment challenges through other means than essay writing. However, there are clear limitations to this approach. Without essay writing, you'll likely only be accepted to an average university based on admission criteria, and it's virtually impossible to even compete with top-tier universities in Seoul. The same goes for employment. You'll likely be limited to mediocre small and medium-sized businesses, and it's difficult to even compete with the public and large corporations that job seekers aspire to. Therefore, if you want to take your career to the next level, this course will help you develop the confidence and capacity to transcend mediocrity and reach new heights.

Q. To what extent does the class cover the content ?

We will cover everything from very basic argument development to advanced argumentative skills that will enable you to solve difficult questions from universities such as Yonsei University, Korea University, and Hanyang University.
