What happens if you use a program or website without a database? The data that needs to be shared in that program or website will be initialized when the server is restarted. To prevent this situation, you need to store the data that you want to manage or save and the data that you want to share between systems in a database.
💡 Why is database design necessary?
- It allows us to derive the correct way to store data .
- You can derive both performance and analytics advantages .
- It can prevent errors that may occur when saving, retrieving, or inserting data.
If you learned about system design in the previous lecture, ' 1. Management Course [Design] (UML+ClassDiagram) ', in this lecture, you will learn about data storage and management that will be used in the program . This lecture consists of database design theory and practice. The practice will be conducted with MSSQL. Through the lecture, understand and write ERD and learn about the relationship between tables!
In addition, we will help you understand and write the terms and tables you encounter in practice. The table design methodology, which is commonly used worldwide but is the most basic for big data, is not well known to Koreans, so we created this lecture to inform you. I hope that you will also gain knowledge of DBA terms used abroad through the lecture.

Q. I don't know much about databases. Can I still take the course?
The lecture is conducted on the assumption that you know the basics of databases. Therefore, it will not be helpful if you have more than one year of practical experience as a BackEnd developer or have knowledge equivalent to that of a 4th year undergraduate student. If you want to supplement this, prior learning of the databases below is required.
