I am a first-year product designer. Originally, I could only handle HTML/CSS, so I felt limited in applying it to my work. When I moved on to JavaScript or React, I had a hard time because I couldn't understand anything. After listening to Grab's lectures up to machine learning, I was able to clearly draw the big structure of how services are created. I had a chance to communicate with a developer a while ago, and I felt that it was really easy to communicate because I definitely understood JavaScript, React, and server-side concepts. I even made really simple code modifications myself and had the developer review them. The best part is that I can look over everything from HTML/CSS to machine learning while typing the code myself. If I just listened to the theoretical content, I would have thought, "Oh, this is how web services are created," but after typing the code myself and making it quickly, I felt like I had grown a lot more than before.
