Beginners will find it quite difficult. I listened to the lecture once, followed along the second time, followed along the third time, and created the fourth and fifth times on my own, and barely managed to understand it. The examples are not clean and the code is too old-fashioned, but it is surprising that such a high-quality lecture is provided for free.
